It will be interesting to see what the East Side premium seating looks like. I doubt it’s suites, but probably some nice seats and a dedicated concourse for premium ticket holders.

Also seat donations are being introduced to help fund the rev share.

i'm guessing the first x number of rows will now be regular seats instead of bleachers??

Not sure where they would put a dedicated concourse on the east side unless they can put a building on the outside of the east concourse where more concessions and restrooms could be added.

Yea. May just be a comfy seat and no special concourse.

Seat donations? Educate me please.
This is from Scott Dolson’s email that went out to ticket holders yesterday…

“Look for details on the new East Side Club in the coming days. We will also share details about our plan to follow the lead of 14 other Big Ten universities and initiate a new personal seat donation program for football tickets. Depending on your seat location, this annual donation will range from $0 to $250/ticket.”

I don’t like it. To call seat backs (if that’s all it is) “premium” is really taxing the definition. I really hope there’s something more to it. If not, I would have preferred them to wait to do something that seems less half assed.

My guess is that it will be something like this. Reclining, mesh, 'comfortable'. But premium can mean a lot of things besides the type of seat you sit in. Amenities. Location. Swag. Access.

If the East Side Club doesn't include the same amenities we got in the SEZ (seats, food, private bar, private restrooms, parking passes, etc) I honestly don't see how they can expect $1,000 for 7 games - esp if it's simply for a mesh seat. The sun constantly in your eyes is another negative. And I don't care for the seat donation concept one iota. But I guess I understand it.

call it a donation so people can claim it on their taxes.

More from the ticket portal…

“As an added perk, ticket holders can request to purchase access to an exclusive indoor lounge, offering a refined game day experience.”

So it looks like $1K + amenities. Also interesting that since this morning they changed the language to “spectacular views between the 35 yard lines.” God I love marketing!

It’s genius. I love it on the one hand, and hate it on the other. 😬

That sucks for you. But I completely understand why they are doing it. It’s a new day in big time college football. SEZ suites were $25k for 8 games in 2024. Nice little $10k increase for 2025 with only 7 games.
Although the site says for up to 20 now. Wasn't it 16 before? And did they accommodate 16 well, like was there room for all 20 to see the field?

It was actually 20 last year and 24 for next year. 4 passes were designated as Standing Room Only. Probably 8 will be SRO this year. There are 16 seats and 2 or 3 tables that have seats, so it’s no big deal as people tend to rotate around during the course of the game - getting food, drinks, restroom breaks, etc. My favorite part is being able to stand either inside the suite or in the area between the suite banks directly behind the goal post. And it’s a relief mechanism during tight games - which we only had one of. I was able to pace quite a bit during the second half of the Michigan game.

I already reserved and paid 900 for 2 tickets they are in Tier 2.
So they are going to bill me another 400?
If so,they should have mentioned that when I bought them last month

Yes, you will be charged an additional $400 IF your points warrant you selecting seats in the Tier 2 sections. If not, you will drop down to a lower tier for selection commensurate with your point standing. In that case you will be refunded the difference of tier pricing levels.

I’ve been a donor for close to 40 years (yeah I’m old) so I should be ok…hopefully

Reclining mesh, the people behind you will really enjoy you resting on their legs.
Every time the person in front of me has a seat back, it feels like they are sitting in my lap, so probably not much difference.
