It will be interesting to see what the East Side premium seating looks like. I doubt it’s suites, but probably some nice seats and a dedicated concourse for premium ticket holders.

Also seat donations are being introduced to help fund the rev share.

i'm guessing the first x number of rows will now be regular seats instead of bleachers??

Not sure where they would put a dedicated concourse on the east side unless they can put a building on the outside of the east concourse where more concessions and restrooms could be added.

Yea. May just be a comfy seat and no special concourse.

Where on the site did you find that information? Thank you.

Seat donations? Educate me please.
This is from Scott Dolson’s email that went out to ticket holders yesterday…

“Look for details on the new East Side Club in the coming days. We will also share details about our plan to follow the lead of 14 other Big Ten universities and initiate a new personal seat donation program for football tickets. Depending on your seat location, this annual donation will range from $0 to $250/ticket.”

I hear $250 a seat.

Big football programs generate big gameday revenue. This is another small step for IUFB. I hear a lot of people say they would like a nicer seat.

Season tickets were still being sold for $40/game. That’s pretty reasonable.

I don’t like it. To call seat backs (if that’s all it is) “premium” is really taxing the definition. I really hope there’s something more to it. If not, I would have preferred them to wait to do something that seems less half assed.

Hopefully it is a whole seat and the bleachers are removed at the very least

My guess is that it will be something like this. Reclining, mesh, 'comfortable'. But premium can mean a lot of things besides the type of seat you sit in. Amenities. Location. Swag. Access.

If the East Side Club doesn't include the same amenities we got in the SEZ (seats, food, private bar, private restrooms, parking passes, etc) I honestly don't see how they can expect $1,000 for 7 games - esp if it's simply for a mesh seat. The sun constantly in your eyes is another negative. And I don't care for the seat donation concept one iota. But I guess I understand it.

call it a donation so people can claim it on their taxes.
