Saw that. Had to be some kind of charity match or something right?

Last pair I bought. circa 2016. Nike Premier. Sheepskin. Obviuosly not flats but you get the idea. Mostly worn out. Only used them recently when messing around with the kid.

Keep it old school bitches.
Made my daughter wear Copa's from an early age...she hesitates Nike and Puma's, although she does/did dig the newer (17.1, 18.1 Copa's).

Now, she rolls with the new "Copa Icon's"...

The white ones were kinda hard to get.

She saw these on a soccer.com ad...so they're on her "Christmas List"...

soccer.com sucks. their story is great tho for old soccer nuts. it was started by two high school brothers in nc. they were having a hard time finding cleats and that was the inspiration for the old eurosport magazine that everyone knows. they shipped out the first catalog back then. fast forward and eurosport today is soccer.com

Yeah...they dominate the youth uni market, for sure. Ordering in late June when you sign your contract and you're lucky to get your kits by season start. We had to use old kits for a tourney this weekend for one of our squads.

Her other teams kits arrived on time, but all of the patches fell off in the first friendly. Was pretty funny actually. Girls had to comb the field afterwards looking for lost patches till we found all of them. :D

Still, they're solid for basic items.

Been using Pro Direct Soccer a bit lately for individual stuff. Seem OK so far.

Our ECNL stuff costs an arm and a leg, but whatever. Top quality Nike stuff for sure, and a lot of it required.

Our local team switched to Puma. Cool looking stuff, but yeah....we only got half of the kit from soccer.com til this weekend the final portions arrived after ordering in June.

Both teams run their accounts through soccer.com, though. Nothing you can do.

Uswnt is fooked if these clubs put money into it. Sara from Carmel Fc is going to have a hard time with girls coming up through manu Liverpool etc

Carmel's days are long passed. Our Bloomington "side" club dusted their top girls 3-nil last weekend.

FC Pride, Indiana Fire, Indy Premier (and their associated clubs) pretty much dominate the scene...which is why I'm enjoying $.75 wings at Whiskey Business right now, before heading directly to WNY tonight for a Buffalo then Pittsburgh weekend roadtrip...at 13 years old. 😄

Yeah Carmel FC refuses to pay coaches. It’s old school community based. Younger kids are not bad but they all leave if they’re any good. My kid moved off to Indy premier.

God I hope she quits soon.

The 2010 FC Pride ECNL and the 2011 Indy Premier GA girls are about the best youth teams I have seen play...like they could be solid D1 women's teams right now. 👍

Miss me?

Class action against any team that advertised Messi is going to be there? I mean, why else would 75,000 show up?
My daughter and I were at the park this morning and they set up pickle ball courts next to the tennis courts. I have to say when they are right next to each other like that the pickle ball players look like bitches

Berhalter.
@sglowrider i watched about twenty minutes of United. I don’t know. Nothing remarkable. Just vanilla. Barca won 5-0. I watched 20 minutes of that too. Blah. Hardly like watching xavi deco and iniesta. United doesn’t have a scholes or a giggs. Teams have cycles I guess. And all the money in the world can’t create serendipity

Wowwwww. That was a great game!!! Right after skinny medium fat guy hockey. The biggest win in pickleball is it fixes serving. Serving in tennis is too hard for the casual player. And running. Of course
My favorite part was how the commentator was talking about one of the players favoring his left leg, and I was like, "Really? How can you tell?"

I started actually playing during my WC sabbatical. It’s fun. Great sport to play and maybe drink a few beers after (or during).

And oh, the GILTHCFM*s in their spandex!

Firstly De Zerbi is a fantastic coach. Working on a shoestring budget but has been able to implement his unique playing style. Think if he wins some silverware he will be picked up by one of the top 4 clubs or even City if Pep decides to take a sabbatical.

#2. United has an injury crisis -- 7 players out, of which 4 would have been starters just the first few matches into the season. We may have to look at the pre-season prep. Too many muscular injuries? It may be because of having played too many matches. Was that the coaches' choice or a commercial factor?

3. Casemiro is off-form (but older players tend to take longer to kick into form) and he has no help through the middle. (New signees, Mount and Amrabat are both injured.)

4. We neutralised Brighton's unique approah in the first 20mins -- and were the more likely to score. Then Brighton scored against the run of play (and it was poor defending -- Welbeck had a free shot on goal.)
And then De Zerbi changed tactics. And ETH didn't respond.
In the 2nd half we were playing the most creative player in the league, Bruno at some new feckin' hybrid #6/Centre-Back. WTF!!!

I think the players were confused about what to do esp in the middle of the park. They don't seem to be picking up the players -- a couple of the goals were scored with the oppo player having zero pressure on him. This was the case against Arsenal too. Missing their assignment in transition.

I blame a lot of the losses on the coach. The players aren't following instructions if so why? Or he is reacting too slowly to the oppo managers.
The other factor is the injuries. We have only been able to play 1 out of the 5 players new players -- so the team has not been able to implement the coach's philosophy.

Big But -- Brighton's starting 11 cost them £17million versus £357million. :eek::oops:

i saw he also brought his weirdo drink with the weirdo straw that they all love in europe and so america with him. i also love that this is the day of the atlanta united game where 75,000 people bought tickets to see him and he didn't go. be great if he started treating inter miami and mls like an 030 men's league team. makes about 2/3 of the games. comes in for the new season super fat. use the season to try and get into better shape. hurt all the time

This is Brighton's passing map against United:

Notice how much of the ball is in their half -- yet they maintain a lot of the possession. Its quite different to Pep's (and the copycats) approach where they like to camp in the opposition's half. De Zerbi likes to tempt you to come after them in his own half. Then break fast and attack you.

Its like its low-block, possession, counter-attacking football. Quite different

If mls defenders attempted that much possession in their own half they would give up 25 goals a game. That is wild.
