Not only was the 2016 election "much closer", but the Dems actually won the popular vote by record totals of close to 3 Million. If any candidate ever had cause to dispute a narrow EV loss, it was Clinton. Yet somehow despite some minor bellyaching she never engaged in some sort of doomsday plot to overthrow the actual election. She conceded within a day or so, and didn't even participate in any calls for recounts...

Trump has just engaged in sheer idiocy, somehow complaining that the same voting machines that delivered him a victory in 2016 have somehow been programmed to transfer vote totals or partition a vote for him into counting less than 100%. His campaign account has hundreds of millions of $$ sitting there right now..... there's no lack of resources to hire the best election attorneys in this country. But all those firms quit about 2 weeks after the election as it was clear they had no legit case to make.
