Say what you want about X

Cupps should have played most of his minutes. X was terrible and stupid again.
Cupps was bad as well. Walker was eating him alive. And even though X made some bad passes, I’d rather have a guy that can make a few plays to give you a chance. And guard somebody.

Amazing what a 5 point win against the worst team in the Big10 can do to a fanbase's expectations.

X has always been good at times, the problem is he loses just as many games as he wins because of his low IQ on the court.

That's why we've been largely mediocre with him running point the last three years and one win against a 15-16 Maryland team doesn't change that.
NO, Injuries and inconsistency

Yeah, no. We already know we disagree though on all things Cupps, but maybe on all things X as well.

His on ball pressure has been the most important. It's been pretty consistent. The other stuff? Hit and miss
For sure, he is the only guard on the team that stays with his man. Leal’s ankles were scattered around the court today.

You are correct about X being bad today, but you really wanted to see a cupps and Leal combo? Tyson Walker would’ve carved that up.
Yes. X was terrible. Cupps would have been better. But it's pretty clear this team doesn't function very well without Galloway.

Collectively, we have to have the worst guards in the Big 10. Without Galloway, it’s amazingly bad. X brings something that Cupps can’t, but is way too often a train wreck on offense. Leal is a very below average defender. It’s truly amazing the Wood man thought this would work out.

One good game in the 4. Completely p
Funny. Izzo mentioned the X 3 pt shot hurt.
And its funny no mention of a blown wide open layup and an airball 3 and 5 passes to no one or directly to State. Of those turnovers 4 turned into points for State. In the 4 game win streak he had 1, one, "good" game. We win in spite of him when we do.

If the B1G Tourney were to be played on a local Playground Court, and X was playing for us, we might win the whole Tourney. Because X's play, reminds me of that style of basketball.

Not to mention him jumping around like a crazy person after he thought Hoggard carried the ball only to have to then foul him because of those antics. And that was towards the end of the game. It was an important play that cost IU, fortunately didn't cost them the game though.

X is pretty solid defensively when he has his head on straight. His head is on straight maybe 50% of the time.

The airball 3 I put on his elbow still bothering him. The rest yeah was frustrating "bad X" play.
