Purdoo! LMAO.

Everyone can park in the paint, so it's not a skill to brag about. But Edey can't do what other seven footers can do, like Kevin Durant, who can handle the ball, create his own shot and shoot three pointers.

Since you brought up Shaq, I recall Shaq with LSU grabbing a rebound and dribbling the length of the floor for a layup. And that was in college before the NBA made Shaq even better. Edey is better than he used to be, but he does not gave the skill and mobility of other seven-footers even at the college level.

At 7-4, Edey is definitely effective at the college level because at that level he, well, parks in the paint and hopes a guard can get the ball to him.
Like Shaq, Edey's an outlier. Statistically, physically, and development-wise ... the fatty chasers from the town of the fetid reek should enjoy his time there ... players like him don't come along often.

They have had the most productive dominant player per minute for three years now and have nothing to show for it... except for those bad tourney losses .. if they lose to another low major this year... the laughing fit I'll have may put me in the hospital..

He's a huge mismatch on the offensive end .. but he also comes with a fatal flaw in his game caused by his size which can be and will be exploited... An inability to defend anything other than the basket. The giant Hope Solo sized hole in the middle of the defense is still there and will eventually be exploited .. though it takes great execution to do so...

Simply put, Edey is not and will never be quick enough to recover from drop coverage and is so slow he can't play anything else.. So, Painter has to come up with rotations to help Edey on the drop and that causes other openings and can if the other team executes well cause breakdowns.

fwiw - Proficiency in team execution increases as the season is played. It tends to be very poor for most teams early in the season but by March when everyone has their shit straight.... a whole different story. X and TJD connecting on PnR late in 22 as an example. If a team has it going (JHS, zoom action at Mackey) there's no counter...

Be careful with your lip because you may pay for it but yes pork chop is an idiot
“Idiot” is ridiculous hyperbole. Painter is a really good coach - NOT a great coach.
NOT a really good “big game” coach.
