Purdoo! LMAO.

Loyer trying to make up for his shitty on ball D, really has become quite the flopper out there. Can’t recall if it was Buie or Berry on a spin move last night, but Loyer, after minimal contact, went falling back so hard and far on the floor, it would have made Shane Battier and Jay Williams proud (both famous floppers at Duke). Can’t believe the ref bought that one. CCC was all over that Ref.
Can’t leave out Greg Paulus. Flopper extraordinaire

They are master choke artists.
They are, but also have to give NW credit. They played almost flawless basketball. 22 assists to 3 turnovers. That is extremely efficient basketball. They won the game despite being out rebounded 52-27 and a disadvantage at the free throw line. Purdue made 31 free throws to NW attempting 32 and making 20. This difference was mitigated at the 3pt line in favor of NW. The game came down to execution and ultimately, guard play. NW guards play was superior to Purdue and it made up for the Edey factor. PU consistently turned the ball over losing possessions and NW executed and was more efficient. That along with Buie being clutch was why NW won. A great game and a nightcap to the IU win.

No doubt NW deserves credit. BB is a heck of a guard. He will be very tough for us to handle as well. But that’s not as fun as trashing Purdoo

He might, especially the way X and Galloway have played this year. Gallo had a decent game last night, but still can’t shoot 3’s or FT’s.
His defense says he wouldn’t. He got beat by that kid from Princeton. Without Edey him and Smith would be under the struggle bus.

Yeah sure. Isolate loyer…money. Guard Smith hard and…turnover. Wasn’t the offense it’s that atrocious defense. Yikes.
I'm not saying Loyer is good on D, but nobody was stopping BB much tonight. He played crafty and made tough shots. Smith had a rough game for sure, but it's one game. You guys like to say we are obsessed yet you're starting a thread about Purdue if they lose one game. Did you think this team was going undefeated?

The D wasn't great, I agree, but nowhere as bad as you make it out to be. It's easy to look bad on D when the other team is allowed to set moving screens all half.

It’s a blueprint and it’s worked for just about every team that has a competent guard. Loyer and Smith are not good enough to win in March. Does IU have those guards? No but stop acting like this is just one game or instance. Smith can’t handle BB or even X type of guards defensively. Smith couldn’t handle Trey Galloway last year. Made loyer try to initiate offense and that hasn’t changed. Loyer is not the guy you want doing that either.

Right, because Tennessee, Gonzaga and Marquette don't have those kinds of guards. Dumb.

Wait. You’re complaining about officiating when you shot 50 billion free throws?

Love how people try to make out the fact that we get fouled a lot as some reason to believe that the officials were slanted toward Purdue in some way.

Yes, we shot a lot of free throws because we got fouled a lot. We fouled quite a bit in this game too. That doesn't change the fact that they allowed illegal screens all 2nd half. Try to keep up.

I turned off at the half as it was nausiating watching Edey shoot FTs over ticky tac crap while pushing shoving and over the back with no calls. Smith is quick to the rebound, I will give him that but beyond that he dribbles in circles and cannot create or defend. X, Gallow or Cupps will defend him well.

It’s how they guard you. Tennessee has a defensive problem at the guard spot. Marquette is about to lose to Wisconsin because they can’t stop the drive. Haven’t watched the zags enough.

Tennessee lost 3 in a row. Marquette just got killed by the dribble drive by a slow Wisconsin team. Why did they lose? Bad defense at the guard spot. Face it. Those early wins are mimicking the same scenario as last year.
Tennessee lost to Purdue, Kansas and N. Carolina. Marquette lost to Wisconsin but they creamed Kansas. You're the analogous of someone that see's what they want to see out of one game time frames.

You still have to play defense. Whether it’s against Duke, Kansas, Wisconsin etc.. doesn’t matter. I’m watching this unfold like I’m reading the same book 12 months later.

Wasting your time debating Hoops with PU grads. They don’t have any depth of knowledge and zero objectivity.

The irony.... you're the one who claimed Purdue is a guard-oriented team ... while having a post player that uses 32% of possessions .... about the dumbest claim any Purdue fan has ever made.

Not so sure, dumb pu posts is a pretty high bar.

So how do you explain Duke losing to the 123rd ranked team just now? Is Duke's D bad, or did they just have a bad night. Like I said, you see what you want to see on single game instances.

I've never said any such thing. You're making shit up.

Could be both. I don’t know because I haven’t watched them or that game. If you are using kenpom for your stats you might want to stop. They aren’t accurate yet but by all means tell me what you saw. 😉
