Think of it like a school project with a hard deadline. If you hand it in late, you fail. If you procrastinated to the night before and your computer crashes so you can’t finish the paper, you fail.
If you have not been able to get your ballot that you’ve had for months now delivered in time, you fail.
I society we don’t always have to cater to the lowest common idiot denominator.

What about the military deployed at sea or in the field, Stoll? Mail takes a lot longer to go from point to point in those cases. I think what's going to happen if this stands is that military votes won't be counted. Ironically, they're most likely to be Republican.

It should be pointed out that the idea that any one of these votes much less a large portion of them are military ballots is strictly theoretical. Cobb county has not claimed as much. It’s pure conjecture.
You'd have to be sane to direct anyone back to sanity. If even one military ballot isn't counted because of it, that's too much. Even if one civilian vote isn't counted which was sent prior to the deadline isn't counted, that's too much. MAGAs have taken this play right out of Al Gore's playbook.
I disagree. They should have sent their ballot earlier. As it stands it seems like the ballot's in question didn't even have their applications received until Friday. I offer no grace to these people.

Stoll, when we're on deployment we're often over 1,000 miles from land in any direction. It's not easy to get mail from each ship in the strike group and then get it to land somewhere and then often go through a foreign mail system back to the states and then on to the state. I'm not kidding when I say it takes weeks. I used to get several weeks of mail on the same day when it was finally delivered.

Congrats. A gerrymandered Legislature succeeded in putting obstacles in front of potential voters to try and limit the electorate and you applaud it. The whole thing with "security envelopes" and having a date required on that is ridiculous, and beyond confusing. The ballot is dated, that should be enough...
Trying to make it as confusing as possible to vote is shameful.Obviously people should be able to sign and date their ballot and not be put thru extra hoops to play on people's lack of knowledge as to the additional requirements.But that's what happens when you're a minority party and you damned well know your hope to win is reliant on low turnout and disenfranchising potential voters...
More bad news for MAGA. The idea that they are better off than they were in 2020 heading into ED is just a "Red Mirage. In reality they are in worst shape, because in a state like PA they've cannibalized so much of the 2020 ED vote in the 2024 early vote.

Kind of the same thing in AZ where people are going to rejct Lake and still split to vote for Trump? And GA is another state that could see record turnout and that wuld bode well for Harris...
