If you don't vote Republican, you're not Republican. Why not just say you're an independent, which you seem to be?
Many other options he could have taken. 3rd party, libertarian, write in, leave blank. A vote for Biden is an active affirmation of this administration. Anyone that affirms this administration is not a Republican. It’s simple, and the fact that Aloha is trying to make it complex tells you he knows he is in the wrong.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand how an intelligent adult can look at Biden and his history and think "Oh, he'd make a much better candidate for President" after experiencing 4 years of Trump's Presidency, which, even Aloha admits, had major policy wins, kept us out of wars, stopped Kim's nuclear threats, had the economy humming before the pandemic with real wage gains for every sector - including minorities, who also experienced record job growth, addressed the China threat, etc., etc., etc.

But no, they focused on a Russian Collusion Myth that never was and blamed him for a pandemic that he had no control over.

But, the media told them that Orange Man bad, so.....

I have to think people are just fvcking with the pollsters. Those results are hard to believe. Every conservative I know pretty much considers Trump as someone in the rear-view mirror, and fading fast. While everyone would still vote for him against any of the crazy Dems, they’re all looking ahead to better days and candidates.

Probably Dems saying they're Republicans like in the Primary.

I think it's probably a lot closer than that poll indicates.

That’s because he’s been out of sight and out of mind for more than 2 years.

Trumps a f*****g moron.

The more exposure he gets, the less people like him, because he’s a genuine piece of s**t. Excuse my French.

We have to move on from Trump.

If he’s the nominee, he will lose and lose spectacularly.

I don't believe those polls either. As Univee related Dems Fing with pollsters etc. Who knows. I don't know a single conservative personally who supports Trump. Every last one is done with him. He's an idiot. They all like DeSAVAGE, but I will add he needs to start to pivot a bit. The all anti-woke all the time is getting old. And I don't know if it's the liberal media zoned in on it or if it's him doing it. the latest is the african american studies course. sure it's a little squishy but that's a subject that's been around forever and there's nothing wrong with teaching it imo. if you want to win you can't just rely on your base as a pub

I feel like Farva might have finally gone Sybil with this 800 personalities posting here. As it stands, FarvatheDog is clearly just here to instigate.

And while Aloha may have held his nose to vote for Biden, and I have no idea if he did, he certainly wasn't going to smear shit on his face to vote for Trump. If your vote is party only and doesn't look at the person, you're part of the problem.

Why the f*ck else are George Santos or Robert Menendez in Congress?

do like ranger and vote libertarian. i love aloha but voting dem makes no sense.

If does if you want to make sure Trump doesn't get elected. If that was Aloha's calculus I can live with it just fine. Trump was singularly awful, though Biden is trying REALLY hard at this point.
i hear ya. but i understand hoodatdogguy's point. you don't vote for someone who advocates policies that you disagree with. vote libertarian. it'd be closer. again reasonable minds....

Yes, but if your main issue is Trump makes America look like dogshit, well.....Aloha seems to have done a lot for the country over his career and he may not take well to that.

I don’t think that’s a binding requirement, but voted all Republicans except for President.

You have a very strange and illogical thought process. I’m a Republican whether you like it or not. The idea that we all have to have the same position on every issue and all vote the same is destroying the country. Stop it.

You can stop. The idea that I’m controlled by the media is ludicrous.

DeSantis can't possibly win a general election in 2024. I guarantee you that. You should go on Twitter and spend time reading the comments and talking to other voters. MAGA will not abandon Trump. Even if DeSantis wins the primary fair and square (he won't) the base would stay home in the general. Ron's only shot to become POTUS is to head down to Maralago, drop to his knees, and beg for the VP nod. If he's a good boy for 4 years he'll have a shot in 2028.

Once again your blind slavish devotion to Trump is something to behold. It’s definitely the closest to a cult that I’ve ever seen. Trump has proven he’s a loser and he’d lose worse next time. If DeSantis ran as the VP candidate on the ticket, his chances of ever winning the Presidency drop to something around zero.

You hang around the wrong sites - they are keeping you in a cult full of brainwashed losers. Escape for your own good.

those polls are garbage. just like they were at midterms. trolls and worthless. trump is done.

No. I think disagreement within the Republican caucus is healthy. Which is why I understand Republicans not wanting to vote for Trump but ALL Republicans need to share baseline beliefs, some outlined below:

- Rampant redistributionism is amoral and inefficient

- A country without a border is not a sovereign state

- Individual liberty is valued over the perceived good of the collective

- Large change is incremental in nature and guided by market forces

You voted to undermine each of these. Ergo you are not a Republican, even if you would like to label yourself as such.

I don't see Trump having enough votes to win the White House again but it is plausible that he has enough support to screw it up for another Republican.

It wouldn't take much for his supporters to keep Desantis or someone else from being able to win since staying home could cause a few states to go the other way.

Nonsense. While I have Republican principles that go along with all four of those, your perception of those is a bit twisted and off. You do you, but I’m a Republican like it or not. The party will be far better off and rational once the Trump true believers are purged or see the error of their ways.

I agree with your last sentence. But that still wouldn’t be cause to vote for Biden. 😉

And if the Republican candidate loses because they stayed home they’ll spend four years bitching about the Democrat they basically elected.

The fact that you are not bitching about Biden is troubling and transparently personal.
While I voted for him (really against Trump), he’s not escaped criticism from me. If you haven’t seen it you haven’t been paying attention.

-- Redistribution is immoral...but loopholes for the wealthy is awesome

-- Every person for themselves....except when it comes to keeping other people out ;)

-- Individual liberty...except when it comes to women's rights, birth control, LGBT rights, etc

Gotta get your exceptions in there for you.

We can trust your opinion for sure. Your prognostications on the 2022 midterms were on point no?

Do you know how many independents and left learners (aka Alohas) are dissuaded by Trump, but may vote for DeSantis? Hell I’m the hard in the hard liner and I wouldn’t vote for Trump in the general again.

If he's NOT the nominee we lose. Hate to say it, but I don't see MAGA voters turning out if he's not running.

Maybe enough Dems will switch over to put whomever over the top - maybe there will be an Anybody But Biden movement. Or maybe the Dems will put up someone like Mayor Pete or pick-your-identity-candidate. Who knows?

Compromise is the job of the folks in the Capitol and statehouses, it’s not to be done at the ballot box.

So when you consider voting for a person from the opposite party of yourself who promises to “reach across the aisle”, think again.

You are being sold a bill of goods.

Not controlled. Heavily influenced.

And you're not the only one.
No. You can take it straight from the horse's mouth. you don't need the selective filter of the media. trump in his own words is plenty. the only thing i would take aloha to task over is that for me the lion's share of trump insanity transpired post election. Jan 6 on. He was nutty and did unseemly things leading up to the election but not enough to vote biden. vote libertarian or stay home. his post election antics i get. he's been a clown of a human, much less presidential

Dems and squishy Republicans on this board are their own echo chamber. They've all convinced themselves Trump is Beelzebub's brother. So they're convinced Trump would lose in a landslide.

I think a lot depends on who the Dems run, but clearly Trump is the Republican front-runner outside of this board. Maybe Desantis comes on, I don't know. But the media won't be kind to him, either.
