Leal is toast he is not playing we don't need anymore cheerleaders.OK. he wants to walkon that's ok.
Go away and stay there.

I like Indiana kids as much as the next guy and want to get the best ones. But, Furst and TKR are overrated. They are decent, but nothing special. If they are the best players PU is trotting out, fine by me.Probably. Was mainly thinking Furst could be a pretty good big in a more open, spread our offense. I don’t think Purdues style gets the most out of him.
I still think Logan will be good too. If he ends up somewhere that is more his speed and style.
Malik couldn’t stay on the court. He was always in foul trouble.Malik's per 40 conference numbers as a frosh are essentially a double double. He did alright. Problem is his per 40 PF rate is....6.8.
Definitely an issue that he improved upon late in the season.Malik couldn’t stay on the court. He was always in foul trouble.
Both appear to be rotation guys that can give good minutes each game. You need those guys 7-9. Outside of Edey, that is really all they have. You can win that way, but somebody has to step up and excel every single game.I like Indiana kids as much as the next guy and want to get the best ones. But, Furst and TKR are overrated. They are decent, but nothing special. If they are the best players PU is trotting out, fine by me.
I guess your one of the few who likes indiana not having any good bench players Leal is not any good move on.Go away and stay there.

If he's not contributing and has no possibility of contributing the coach will let him know and Leal can move on. Every team has more players than can get into a game but players at the end of the bench also contribute in practices and in team chemistry. Coach and Leal will determine what is best for Leal.I guess your one of the few who likes indiana not having any good bench players Leal is not any good move on.
IU didn't rebound because they NEVER box anyone out. The coaches clearly didn't demand players box out. Nobody ever did, and nobody ever got pulled for not boxing out.IU didn't rebound for sheyot because of how many times players had to leave their assignment to help out... this was especially true vs. Miami.
IU had really no bench this year to work with. If CMW benches a player for punishment purposes, who plays? Was the bench players a better player? Until CMW get a full roster with his players, he wasn't able to bench players the way you wanted him to.IU didn't rebound because they NEVER box anyone out. Frankly, with Woody’s extensive NBA experience IU should have a leg up on the other B1G teams. Also, IU jumped on NIL early and can offer good payouts to top players. What hurts IU, though, is the B1G style of play, which won’t be as attractive to potential recruits or transfers who want to be in a conference that plays a more athletic/uptempo brand. With the introduction of NIL, it’s a business. An Woody needs to win and players need to play.
Your argument is that he couldn't discipline his players with playing time because we didn't have the bench players to allow it? That's absolutely ridiculous, imo. Losers mentality.IU had really no bench this year to work with. If CMW benches a player for punishment purposes, who plays? Was the bench players a better player? Until CMW get a full roster with his players, he wasn't able to bench players the way you wanted him to.
Absolutely not, Knight had a full roster/bench to work with can you say the same for CMW? I was in no way making any excuses. It was clear to see for most people, having a short bench limited CMW options in all sitations. It's the main reason so few players played this year in most games. We can agree to disagree.Your argument is that he couldn't discipline his players with playing time because we didn't have the bench players to allow it? That's absolutely ridiculous, imo. Losers mentality.
A coach must demand some things on the court and back those demands up with playing time. The great coaches always have their guys doing the right things...boxing out, getting back in transition, playing with effort, etc. I'm pretty sure Coach Knight never didn't pull a player because "he had no one else that could compete" on the bench.
I guess we can find excuses for anything if we try hard enough.
They don't care what u think. It's a message board. If he's not contributing and has no possibility of contributing the coach will let him know and Leal can move on. Every team has more players than can get into a game but players at the end of the bench also contribute in practices and in team chemistry. Coach and Leal will determine what is best for Leal.
You don't need to keep dissing our players as if the players or coach care what you think.

Could be a sign that we're not going to lose many players to the portal. I hope that's true.
Some truth to that but not near that simple. I feel the biggest reason is longer shots produce more long rebounds that bounce over the heads of good blockouts. These are most often claimed by quick 6'6" players which we were woefully short of.IU didn't rebound because they NEVER box anyone out. The coaches clearly didn't demand players box out. Nobody ever did, and nobody ever got pulled for not boxing out.
Gezz. You’re talking about Duncomb? He went to Moeller in Cincinnati, not Southport.
A forward that never rebounded, shot inconsistently to be a 'proven" shooter and could not play any defense against a fast opponent. Guy was a major disappointment. One good game against Syracuse and IU lost that one in his career at IU. Yeah he wasn't the player or a player that got IU to NCAA tourney. He was the best shooter on the team, played pretty decent defense, given his lack of quickness, made very few errors. I wish we’d set more screens for him, but I’d take a Miller Koop on every team. He shot 48% from the field and 44% from three. Led the team in EFG at 63% and had the highest per possession efficiency on the team.
We did not really do a whole lot to get Kopp shots honestly. We just had him stand around outside and wait to TJD to either make a move or possbily pass him the ball.A forward that never rebounded, shot inconsistently to be a 'proven" shooter and could not play any defense against a fast opponent. Geronimo doesn’t have a drivers license. He’s taking driving training now. I realize that has zero to do with any part of this discussion, but I felt like adding it.Sounds like thins are heating up
Timberlake
- we sent everyone to see him, but he is going to visit UNC. Can we get a visit?
Ledlum
- we visited him, but it sounds like Fran did as well
Sparks
- he is on campus now
Shedrick
- some people are very optimistic we will get him
Lots of people are saying that Geronimo and Bates are gone. Even if IU gets both Sparks and Shedrick, we need at least two wings who can slash and shoot as either 2s or 3s
Woodson spoke to Rice transfer guard Quincy Olivari tonight. The 6-3 Atlanta product averaged 18.7 points and 5.9 rebounds while shooting 36.4 percent from three on 258 attempts. #iubbSounds like thins are heating up

Or casting a wide net hoping we don’t come up emptySeems like we are recruiting expecting to have many openings
No. He was the one standing around. That wasn't a game plan.We did not really do a whole lot to get Kopp shots honestly. We just had him stand around outside and wait to TJD to either make a move or possbily pass him the ball.
Probably but I still think we will bring in four this spring.Or casting a wide net hoping we don’t come up empty
Why is it your concern? I've followed IU basketball since Lou Watson days. You don't own these boards as far as I know. Why is a Notre Dame fan trolling the board?

He's definitely worth a look but likely not coming here. Probably will be the most sought after portal target. Would have been a first round pick had he left.College basketball transfer portal: Best potential fits for Oregon five-star transfer Kel'el Ware
The five-star recruit is now the No. 1 player in the transfer portal.247sports.com
Is this guy Ware going to Arkansas or does Woody have a shot? Is he worth a look or was he just a bust? IU mentioned as a fit in the article.
