My shithouse theory is Cuban paid off Miller’s contract and pointed Dolson to the NBA. Cuban and Woodson were students at the same time.

Could be, but I'm doubtful. Cuban has stayed far away from personel matters, from what I've been able to gather. Others have said some or all of the big money came from Andy Mohr.

Maybe Cuban doesn't give a shit, but I would assume that him so much as offering a *cough*NBA*cough* within 100 yards of Dolson would result in him getting fined or otherwise sanctioned.
