How many of you always carry cash?

I very, very seldom use a debit card and it's always to get money from an ATM. If I used a credit card I have their money whereas with a debit card they have your money and won't try very hard to resolve a dispute... at least that's the way I think about it.

I hate driving thru that area... to ^&%$ many stop lights but it's still not as bad as Somerset KY where they have stoplights numbered 1 thru 36 and the last time I was thru there it was even worse because the had added more so they would have 16 and 16a for example.

There's a shooting range near where I live and it's pretty close to Center Grove High school and once in a while I hear the guy shooting and I know the sheriff is gonna get a lot of calls. People complain about it all the time even though the guy that has it has been there long before the area built up around him. To me it's like moving close to a hog farm that has been there for 50 years and then complaining about the smell. :)

I hope you get something in return. :)
The dispute process is the same, in fraud cases using a debit card it is resolved immediately and the money is back in your account in less than 24 hours. Debit and Credit cards both use Visa and MC they write the rules.

My son met a guy a few years back in Riverside, CA that made this his business. He worked in restaurants and stole people's credit card info. He used a machine that would create an identical metallic strip to the cards he was swiping. My son went off on him and he was like 'dude calm down, no one get's hurt. They get their money back, it's all insured'. My son didn't let up because even though people get their money back, it's a complete hassle to replace a card, plus if you're on vacation it can cause real panic. In addition, we all pay for this thievery shit.

You are correct, we all pay the price. It is much the same as the looters of Walmart and all those retail stores the past few years, it all comes back to the consumer. MC and Visa are businesses they are there to make money, it baffles me how many do not realize the law abiding usually pay the price over time.

The amount of fraud in America is crazy, and 95% of the time the companies never follow up on chasing down the thief. Cash app's are becoming a real source of fraud they are replacing fraudulent checks and to an extent wire fraud.

My wife is a self employed massage therapist. It's unbelievable the amount of cash clients cancel their appointments.
I know this is off topic but, do women ever request a message with a happy ending? I never even thought of asking this before. :)

Whatever happened to the old school Chinese restaurants that had sit down, full service, full bar, etc?.... they'd often have the lazy Susan in the middle for sharing family style.

Never see those places any more
Lotus Garden on US 31 S, north of Greenwood Park Mall in Indy, is that traditional style. They have big fat egg rolls I like.

My wife didn’t have to ask. She went to a place on N Walnut in BTown a couple years ago and the male masseuse let his fingers do the walking. When she returned to the reception area there several younger girls staring at her like maybe they knew what was going on. She didn’t complain to the front desk, but the next time she went back and requested him, he was gone, presumably fired.

They moved several years ago from that location and the building has been torn down. Now they are in a strip mall in the 7300 block of US 31, between Stop 11 and Southport Rd.
Wow...thanks. I'm out of the loop. Of course, that 4 dimensional roundabout there takes 100% focus.

Well I did accidentally in Thailand. They gave me several different choices but I didn’t understand any of them. I took the most expensive, which was still super cheap. I figured out about halfway through what I had done. After slapping his hands about 5 times, he figured it out.

Haven't been there since they moved from their old place further south in Greenwood that was there forever. Is it same as the old place?

My wife doesn't put up with shit like that. She's probably meaner than I am.

So, you gave him fifteen minutes to knock it off, right?

@zeke4ahs
Have you never hear of Ladyboys?

Yeah I can speak Vietnamese. My grandpa was there from '63 to '64
Uh Thai is not Vietnamese. I’m sure you are fluent because your grandpa was there for two years. lol. Yes I’ve heard of Ladyboys. Nothing to do with this.

Oh sweetie. I’m so sorry I triggered you. Might look at the previous post where you called me stupid. Like so many, you can dish it out but get upset when you get it back. Toughen up buttercup.

Yes, it appears to be and I leave just as satisfied. I don’t get up there that often so when I do I get an additional six egg rolls to go for the freezer compartment. One thing they don’t do anymore is the lunch buffet they had on the left side of their former building.

So you wanted something other than his hands?

Yeah I know. My grandpa was an advisor serving with an A team. Do you even know what that is? He had to learn the language because he lived with them. Im not fluent but he taught me enough. Don't be such a bitch.

Sure as soon as you stop being such a dick.

The reason I ask is that my wife and I used to run our library's book sales and I was always surprised how many people didn't carry enough cash to buy a 50 cent book. I always carry some cash....normally less that $100.
Then I ran upon the linked article talking about how much money to keep at home. I know it's unlikely but in these days of cyber crime I like to have some just in case criminals hit the banking/credit card systems and my credit card doesn't work.

My wife will carry some change and cash in case we need it. When we are on vacation we will sometime go through Peru IN and we hit East End Ice Cream and all they take is cash.

If you're in Peru, go downtown and stop at Connie's German Bakery. Connie is from Stuttgart and it is a 100% German bakery.
