Govt. Shutdown, Acting Chief of Staff, Acting AG, and an Acting Sec. of Defense

I do not understand why it is a big deal to some people that we have an acting AG, Chief of Staff and Sec of Defense. Does that really matter when it comes to decision making that could impact the USA and the world?? I say no.

However, if there was a vacancy in one of the Fox and Friends chairs THAT would be a huge void that could severely impact the presidents ability to make good decisions.

I don’t believe Perry wouldn’t know that.
I think you're right. The NYT article that Vanity Fair cited didn't say that Perry didn't know that the Energy Department was responsible for the nuclear program. His inexperience with nuclear energy as opposed to that of previous Secretaries was the primary point of the article.

I'd still bet that 50% of the WC wouldn't have known it. ;)
Of course we don’t. Why does it matter? We aren’t the ones that were considered to be an expert in the field and thus named to the position.
