I saw that and already commented on it. I think it is fake news. The Official Statement (which I linked) used to sell the bonds suggests that the taxes used to pay the bonds cannot go away while the bonds are outstanding. The O.S. is a little squishy, and there are other documents that address the issue, but that would be pretty typical for these kinds of municipal bonds.

I liked Obama's take on woke culture a few years back. He had an eloquent way of explaining that the world is messy and being judgmental etc isn't the path. I'd have to go back and find it but it was well said, and proven prophetic. As for TMP I'm not sure he's someone deserving of a response, from any of us. Anyone that's at once that angry, bigoted and removed from reality isn't really worth the time. He's certainly not worth mine.

I don't think any of it happens anyway...as I read it.... these special districts can only be dissolved at the choice of the district itself. I'm sure this ends up tied in court for years. Or more likely it ends up getting washed away next January in the Legislature once the news cycle gets old.

Same here. There is on person I know who has transitioned (M --> F), and I have to work at it to be sure and use her new name and pronouns. But that's it, and I live in Bloomington, one of the most LGBTQ "friendly" places on Earth.
