When you examine the case by case scenarios, you find that some guy shooting himself in the leg in the parking lot of a school qualifies as a "school shooting". Or an errant shot going through a school window.

the dude is facing serious charges. but it does suggest that there is a great deal of ambiguity about motive in many of these cases. I wonder, for example, if the study you criticized includes the Las Vegas shooter's mass casualties. He was apparently a big Trump fan but as far as I know there was no demonstration of a political motive. I thought your point was that the statistics are probably not all that reliable. You were suggesting that things might get included as political violence that weren't. But I would say the problem is bad on the other side. There are a lot of cases that are political violence but don't appear in stats.

In terms of the bombing, not just a Republican problem. It’s a Republican and Democrat problem. Only issue left is republicans acknowledge that it’s an issue on both sides, and then you have the left that simply can’t aknowledge their own faults. Even though Hillary, Holder, Spartacus, Mad Max, the MSM and other libs have all used violent rhetoric, the libs still don’t want to admit fault.
So we’re good with facts. I admit the Republicans are partially st fault. Will you admit the left and MSM bares some responsibility in this? Probably not. Let me fill in what the new Right wing talking points are going to be- The 50 yr old arrested is NOT a "Trump fan". He is an innocent patsy, and the FBI and other deep state provocateurs secretly registered this white van to him (without his knowledge). They had it hidden in storage, covered it completely with all the pro-Trump and right wing stickers, drove it to this location and lured the innocent patsy to the store so they could film him being arrested and tie this fake van to him. It's all a deep state plot to discredit poor Trump and his nutbag supporters...
