Harris might actually be the Dems best hope if she can peel back some of the black support Trump is currently getting vs Biden.

Well we know that Buttigieg is no good. We smoked him out pretty early. Harris thinks women couldn’t participate in ncaa brackets until just a few years ago. If it ain’t about race and gender she doesn’t see it. We might as well elect willdog. Newsom/Whitmer six/half dozen. So unless Shapiro or beshear enter it doesn’t matter to me

Kamala Harris’s team is concerned that Democrats will install a white candidate ahead of her to replace Joe Biden, arguing that it would be “offensive” to black voters to overlook her should the president stand aside.

Allies of Ms Harris are frustrated that she has largely been excluded from the list of possible replacements, arguing that it would be “offensive” to overlook a black woman for the job.

Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer, the Democratic governors of California and Michigan, have so far been at the centre of speculation about a replacement nominee.

“The fact that people keep coming back to this is so offensive to so many of us,” an ally of Ms Harris told Politico.

“They still don’t get that the message you’re saying to people, to this Democratic Party, is, we prefer a white person.”

Another source added: “If they think they are going to get through South Carolina bashing an effective and qualified black woman vice president — their instincts are as bad as I thought they were.”

Ms Harris’s team has pointed out that her race may allow her to appeal to black voters – a core demographic for the Democrats that has begun to shift away from Mr Biden in recent months.

Data from the Pew Research centre shows 77 per cent of black voters say they are leaning towards voting for Mr Biden in November, down from 93 per cent that supported him in 2020.
It will be either Biden or Harris. This touches on some of the reasons for that.

It would be interesting what the reaction would be to an actual viable candidate opposing Trump. Someone that would actually be able to coherently call him on his lies in a debate.

She brings her own "paying for extra suitcases" levels of baggage. But how disciplined would Trump be to focus on those very noteworthy policy and stance issues she has...and stay away from the nastier things he'd almost certainly degrade himself to. Things that would give voters like DBM a hard on...but would alienate many others, and rally minorities and women.

I personally think Harris would end up landsliding Trump. More so than some of the other white men mentioned regularly. But she'd need time to make appearances, and for Trump to fully melt down over it all.

They were doing okay until they called her "effective and qualified"... 🤣😂

This is going to be fun to watch...

Now I, for one, realize that Trump and/or the Republican Party is fully capable of shooting themselves in the foot and blowing this election (so I'm not going the overconfident route), but it sure is fun watching the Dims do it first...

Harris is a vapid blinkard. She’d be a god awful president. Her affectations are like nails on a chalkboard. Like listening to the Burger King song every other commercial

Sad we can’t just find someone smart and competent

Not a fan of hers...purely thinking about the effect it'll have on Democrats turnout...and how Trump would treat her, and what affect that would have on the turnout.

I think the contrast people would "feel" from listening to her talk would improve Democrat energy and morale, probably would lure some of the open voters....and then how Trump responded and campaigned against her would have an impact on minority and suburban women voting...which could make or break the election.

I don't like her, at all...but listening to her post debate interview felt like a warm bath compared to watching and listening to Grumpy Old Men.

Even if he were right, can anyone explain which constitutional powers of the president paying off a porn star to cover up an affair falls under? My Article 2 search cannot find "porn star" or "coverup affair".
Obviously. No doubt. Trump might get relief for the testimony of Hicks.

But I'm not letting @dbmhoosier off even that easy. He's affirmatively lying about when Stormy Daniels received payment here. And that's an issue that even Trump and his legal teams admit.

I don’t know why our politicians are so bad.

Disc golf too.

My son had practice and I decided to walk to a distillery close by. On the way there, I passed a small park and saw a couple of dudes with backpacks walking around aimlessly (how I perceived it). I’ve watched my fair share of “How to catch a Predator” and I’m instantly sizing these guys up in case I have to kick their asses (I liked my odds) for being pervs.

After a little more observation, I noticed them throwing a flat object. They were playing frisbee golf. I yelled at them, “throw them long”. So, my real question, is that a cool thing to say on the course? Do you have any other sayings I can use next time?

How about "hey, want to meet behind that tree over there for a quick hand-ee?"

Oh, would that be weird? I mean . . .

It's only cool if you were wearing a flatbill.

Throw them FAR is the preferred nomenclature.

I guess. But I don’t really know the remedy. The normal woman in front of me at sbx who is a senior vp at centene doesn’t want cori bush’s job

We don't want them if the VP goes to Starbucks for those stupid breakfast milkshakes. We especially don't want them if they go for just a coffee.

Seriously, politicians live in a fishbowl, I get why they don't like that. Second, without the graft it doesn't pay well. If you have kids, they almost must go to private school in DC. Housing is expensive. Congressmen often can't afford to move their families out so they share housing almost dorm style. Then they are away from their families for long periods.

Next, we vilify any politician that doesn't agree with us. It must get old to be called names all the time. But then again, I'm sure you can speak to that :). I know I've called you a soc*** lover many times. But many people don't want to subject their family to that.

Lastly, they are professional beggars. They spend far more time calling and begging for money than legislating. Any desire I may have ever had to be in politics would have ended there. I could enjoy the legislating. and the ombudsman aspect. I never had any interest in calling people every single night begging for cash.

Harris has a smirky dismissiveness that annoys me, and many others. But she would not have let many of Trump's 30+ lies in the debate go unchallenged, if she had been up there. Not saying I want her leading any ticket, Just that painting her as dumb is lazy.

Very quickly proves my point...

For every DBM, posting things like this and cheering on what would certainly be Trump's chauvinistic and potentially even bigoted approach to a Harris challenge...there are probably 10-15 impressionable minority and/or female voters that won't take too kindly to it all.

Its a tough dynamic, actually. Because Harris does have things like this that could be noteworthy, since Trump catches a lot of flack for his own transgressions...but reality says it'll be received differently.
And it's all true. Much of what has been said about Trump from the Russia hoax, to pee pee tapes, white supremacists are fine people, etc are flat out lies.

If Harris is as dumb as a box or rocks and got to where she purely because of sexual favors it is very valid and should be fair game.

Your views on the "truth" leave me shaking my head... no matter what's true and not though, calling Harris out for it won't play well politically for Trump.

"I represent the heart of a congressional district once represented by Lyndon Johnson. Under very different circumstances, he made the painful decision to withdraw. President Biden should do the same." - Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX).

Hopefully this is just the beginning.

I'm feeling a bit of reverse "don't feed the bears" vibe here. The Subaru drivers that ignore the "don't feed the wild life" signs, because the wild life becomes dependent on the free cheese, coming from stupid people that simply don't understand why there is a rule.
But then, after time, the bears get jobs and make better progress, have self confidence and pride, in spit of the historical free cheese. Suddenly they refuse the free cheese because it was actually more harmful than the crack and meth that it allowed to hold them down in the woods, which is what the givers of the free cheese intended to start with.
Now the reverse part.. The comfy white privileged Subaru drivers, are rolled up into the fetal position because "the bears won't take my free cheese anymore"... "I have no purpose any more".....
Hey Kamallalalala , you were used for your skin. You have been a POC that has sold out every one of your fellow POC for your own personal gain. You very well may find yourself back in the position that Willy Brown used to give you your start.
Good luck, but even your own "people" are tired of your shit and totally scamming them for your own self gain.

The argument for what? Dbm keeps writing that Daniels received the payment when Trump was President. That’s flat out false. He keeps writing it that way for a reason— he’s a liar.
I think he's saying Trump didn't sign any check to Cohen until he as President. Not that that's an official act.

Stormy got her money from Cohen, which Trump claims he never authorized, prior to the election.

The point seems moot to me, since none of it was an official act.
