Millions of kids have already been vaccinated. By and large, nothing has gone wrong.

If you get a chickenpox vaccine, are exposed to then chicken pox, and then if you were to get a pcr test for chickenpox virus to see if your body has any virus in it, your non-sick self would test POSITIVE for the virus.
But you wouldn't get sick, because the antibodies would knock it down.
So the difference is two things:
1) the only virus we do pcr testing for is SARSCOV2. If you have the virus, we say "you have COVID. We don't say you have chickenpox or shingles based on any pcr test, we say it instead because you have rashes or sores.
2) A low level of SARSCOV2 can manifest itself with some symptoms, whereas many of the other viruses you mentioned do not, until they replicate themselves tremendously

But never has anyone ever tried to convince you that it's some kind of magic cure that will guarantee your protection. That's a straw man.

The reality is most people are reasonable. It’s why an overwhelming majority of parents aren’t vaccinating their younger children and a majority of older people got vaccinated. I’ve also read a couple of stats that suggest 70-80% of kids have had it…aka our kids already got it and it was similar to a cold for them.
That to me is the greatest indicator that COVID is truly endemic - I know a LOT of people with it, but the hospitalizations/deaths are (thankfully) significantly reduced. That's a great thing that I wish the MSM would report with the fervor that they reported the death rate/hospitalization rates back in 2020, because I think that vaccinations have helped with that, as well as the virus evolving to a less virulent strain of disease.
