So, what happens in 2028? If Harris loses, one assumes she will run in 2028 as the candidate who fell on her sword to try to defeat Trump. I don't know that the Democratic Party will buy that. There will be a battle between Newsome, Shapiro, and maybe Beshear. I expect Shapiro to win based on electability, he will win Pa and that is pretty close to a guaranteed D win in November. Shapiro-Beshear might be a tough ticket.

If Trump loses, one expects Vance to be the frontrunner but far from guaranteed. I think either Youngkin or DeSantis wins. Haley probably lost her shot by staying in against Trump. Assuming in this scenario Trump loses, Vance will carry that loss, I doubt he has the Teflon coating Trump has. The Senators (Cruz, Rubio, et al) always have a hard time winning.

If Harris loses it’ll be the end of woke/identity politics imo. It was a bust as policy and a bust as candidates. Shapiro will emerge. And return us to normalcy

If trump loses that’ll be the end of him. He’ll be way too old and simply have lost too many times. Harris and walz are dumb and dumber. If he can’t beat them he can’t beat anyone. Shapiro would crush him. So we’ll have Desantis or youngkin or Vance. Smarter less insane. Less divisive

It was a prediction, not a wish. If there's one thing everyone on this board should recognize and agree with, it's that the other side isn't going to learn anything, and they ain't changing.

As far as Harris is concerned, this cycle is her one and only path to the job. No way she can make it through a 2028 primary as the nominee. Newsome won't make it out either. Probably a Shapiro type.

If Trump wins, I think it's Vance's to lose. If Trump loses, I don't know who comes out on top in 2028 but Vance does indeed carry that loss with him. I reckon it be somebody who stood up a bit to Trump like Desantis or even Kemp. I can even see a MAGA branded third party emerge that could turn it all on it's head.

My best guess is whichever party loses will have a wide open primary. Also, this is not a guess, but a fact. Cignetti will win 3 National Titles by the 2028 election. Take it to the bank.

I can see where you're coming from and agree. I also understand how/why he is viewed as funny. The scary part is that he isn't trying to be funny. I mean sometimes he's trying to be cute, and funny, and seems likeable. But make no mistake, if he could grab your mother or daughter by the crotch, he would.
