According to TOS, we only gave him an offer today, and Wiltfong already predicted a commitment?

Strange, especially since Florida State also has an offer on the table.

A note about Dunnam......247 now has him as the #78 player in their Florida rankings. For comparison purposes, Mullen is 33, Thopmas 57, and Monds 118.

One thing I can't figure out about the 247 rankings........they have a 'composite' national ranking for players, but don't seem to list the 247 site national ranking, other than for their top 247. Maybe they think it gets too confusing. They do list 247 site rankings for the individual states.

ASU appears to have been playing fast and loose with the COVID era rules (and doing a really poor job of concealing it) but they do appear to have a good eye for talent...

Marshall may be listed as a safety( don’t know haven’t looked), but he seems set on being a CB, in that case we are not offering. There is still very much contact between Allen and IU, but whether his commit could change is unknown right now.

So far, we've got the following:
Offense:
RB - 1
QB - 1
WR - 1
TE - 1
OL - 3
Defense:
DE - 2 (I'm counting McCullough as a DE)
DT - 0
LB - 2
CB - 2
S - 1

So they're clearly after at least 1 DT, preferably 2, between Curry, Kelly, & Lyons.

What else are they realistically going for? Another safety & a WR?

Dasan is gonna start off as a stinger, so he's a linebacker.

We're definitely after another safety. I think it depends on how comfortable the staff feels with the Alfonzo Allen situation with how hard they push for him. He was definitely one of the players on campus when they weren't suppose to be.

I think you're correct in that we take another receiver as well. I think we look for defensive line help as well.

I think we'll also take another tight end, too, but I don't know if they've identified anyone yet. They brought in Lewis for that official and then he went radio silent, so not sure where we stand with him.

ASU recruited him all along to play corner. That's why they got him.

Now that the heat is coming on ASU, I think you'll see kids start to re-think things. Marshall and Allen were both kids that were on campus when they weren't supposed to be, according to ASU mods. That's ballsy. If the ncaa comes at them, they're gonna sing to the mountain tops.

It'll be interesting to see if CTA and staff are comfortable enough to keep recruiting Allen knowing that he was involved with that.

Call me a softy, but I give kids a pass for that kind of screwup, going to campus when they weren't supposed to. It's a stupid flouting of the rules, but it's not like a character flaw or something. But I hope the NCAA comes down on the programs who are arranging those kinds of things. Schools pay big bucks to their compliance offices for a reason.

Yeah, I don't blame the kid at all. I think the staff has to gage how the ncaa is gonna place blame on the kid here is what I'm saying. This is the ncaa we're talking about. The kids knew the rules, too, and they willingly broke them, so do they come down on the kids at all is the question.

It's a interesting question for sure.

WR, TE, S ,2DT, 3 DE are possible, as you know recruiting changes almost daily. Joshua White is another possibility still

Biggest area of need from my view is definitely along DT(2 at least?) & hopefully another great DE from Indiana! Probably another safety or 2. That could take IU to about 18. Could see them stopping at 20 given it is a strong class and think in today's new portal world, calculus may be "need to leave 3-5 spots for transfer portal opportunities."
