Time to get a 2021 IU recruiting thread going.......as of now, I am aware of only 4 IU offers out for '21:

--Trey Kaufman...........6-7 200 lbs IN 76/74
--Khristian Lander........6-1 160 lbs IN 18/26
--Terrence Clarke.........6-7 185 lbs NH 2/2
--Caleb Faust...............6-8 205 lbs IN 32/37

The #s listed at the end are current 247 & Rivals rankings, respectively

The following have not been offered but have been discussed on here, and are listed as possible future IU offers:

--Luke Goode.............6-5 175 lbs IN 80/NR
--Blake Wesley...........6-4 170 lbs IN 86/98
--Pierre Thomas.........6-5 170 lbs IN 98/NR
--Jalen Blackman.......6-1 155 lbs IN 106/NR

Of note, right now Rivals only lists only a top 100 for the '21 class.

Of the above, right now it seems that Goode & Wesley are the best bets for an IU offer......Goode already has offers from MD, Butler, Iowa & Xavier. Wesley has no high D1 offers yet. Thomas & Blackman seem like long-shots for IU offers.

I'd like any comments, corrections et al, and will try to keep this updated.

FWIW, IU has offered Max Christie, the #1 player in Illinois, a shooting guard

Lander & Furst..
That's a bonanza..
One it's still a good year..
Even though we've been on Clarke a long time.
He's most likely a Duke / UK / UNC guy...

Offered Trey Patterson. 6'8" forward. 5* (#26 on 247 Composite) from New Jersey (#1 in the state).

Apparently, IU has been talking to him for over a year, so there is already some relationship.

Other offers: Auburn, Cincy, UConn, Florida, Georgetown, Maryland, NC State, Tenn, UCLA, Wake Forest, Xavier, Rutgers

----

I see they've also offered Bryce Hopkins. 6'6" forward from Illinois. 3* on Rivals, NR on 247.

Competition for him: Illinois, Loyola, Miami (OH), Nebraska, Northwestern

Thanks...I've added Patterson & Hopkins.

247 & Rivals differ on height & size on both these guys.

247 has Patterson at 6'7" 170 lbs. Rivals at 6'8" 205 lbs

247 has Hopkins at 6'7" 220 lbs. Rivals has him at 6'5" 180 lbs

2021 6'6" JR Konieszny out of South Bend is unofficially visiting IU today........

I prefer Lander, Kaufman and Wesley. I've heard Kaufman and Furst are not going to the same school.

Pulling Christie out of Illinois would be great.Add Kaufman,Lander and Patterson,IU would garner a great class. Clarke will most likely opt for Dukies or another media loved program.Furst is my wish pick but I'm not sure what Porkie will pull out all the stops on him.

Quote from the article:
"Coming in as the No. 15 player in the country in the 2021 class according to the 247Sports Composite, Mohammed understandably has recruiting interest from a number of top programs including Maryland, Seton Hall, Kansas State, Florida and Louisville, all of which have offered scholarships according to that service."

I am surprised Kansas is not on that list (yet). Lawrence, KS is close to where his brother plays (Springfield, MO). Kansas State would have a leg up for that reason, as well. Maybe by his matriculation that will not be a factor.

I've added Mohammed & Kepnang

Listed as 6'4" 170 lbs on 247, 6'5" 180 lbs on Rivals.

Posters on other boards are saying ND and/or Purdue are the favorites, fwiw. Cincy, Butler, Depaul have also offered. Listed as #89 on 247, #98 on Rivals.

I wonder if/when Goode will be offered. #112 on 247, not listed in Rivals (only 100 listed for '21). Has offers from Iowa, NW, Stanford, Butler, Maryland & Illinois.

Looking at my OP in this thread, at that time Goode was rated #80 on 247 and had 4 good early offers, while at that time BW was not rated and had no high D1 offers.....so apparently BW has impressed recently, Goode not so much?

A class next year of Lander, Kauffman and then either Goode/Wesley/Konieczny would do wonders.

Reading the article (I haven't seen him play) a couple of things really jumped out at me that make me think I won't be too upset if IU misses on him.

"Paint appearances for Wesley are characterized by athletic and often times contorted shots – perhaps a couple notches more controlled than former Indiana Hoosier Troy Williams, but also a couple of notches less athletic." The idea of a less athletic Troy Williams is scary.

"The only knock on his shooting for is his pronounced “dip” where he has developed a tendency to dip the ball below his waist to initiate his shooting motion." If this doesn't get fixed it could really hurt him at the college level.

Furst, Lander, Kaufman

Not going get Kaufmann and Furst I'm afraid, especially if TJD doesn't leave early. Right now Furst is the better player as he is physically mature beyond his years but something tells me Kauffman isn't done growing yet and may have more untapped potential. Will also be tough to land Furst as well. Need a PG, a big, and a shooter.

Furst would be my #1 priority as he might be a 3 year player, and elite upperclassman are what you build around to win B1G and National Titles. Furst has a college ready body and skillset now.

Lander. Need a PG to replace Phinisee. Lander is likely a 2 year player given his size. Most important position on the court.

Both are vitally important.
Furst as a possible 3 year player gives you several solid years of play, possibly all starting years, for 1 comittment schollie = Huge potential get. No doubt solid PG play is also a big key to every successful team. PG Lander is a very important potential recruit for IU.

PG may be the most important player on the court.

Lander is the key to the 21 class. You can live with not landing Furst if you can get Kauffman and Leal. I think Kauffman will have very solid 3-4 year career wherever he goes and think IU has the best inside track to him. Furst is going to command a lot of attention and offers. Get Furst and fail to land a PG you're in some trouble.

I want IU to land all 3 in 2021.
Furst, Lander, & Kaufman.

I'm kinda surprised that Lander isn't even ranked higher on both of those recruiting sites.
As the #1 P.G in the whole class. Your usually top ten..Good chance he'll wear a McDonald's jersey though.

Typo on Franck Kepnang's Rival ranking. It's 24

Indiana has offered Logan Duncomb, a 6'9" 220 lb C out of Cincy Moeller. He started as a soph on a 29-0 SC team....avg 7.2/4.0. Has been offered by Cincy, Iowa, OSU, Wis, X. AAU teammate of Kaufman, Konieczny. No other IU connection mentioned.

There is a very interesting thread about '21s Luke Goode on the HSN recruiting forum......suffice it to say Archie is going to have some tough recruiting decisions to make for the '20 & '21 classes.......

Offered Javonte Brown-Ferguson. 6'11" PF from Canada

Thanks.....Couldn't find him in Rivals or 247 rankings.....listed as out of Baltimore one place, Canada another. 6'11" 220 lbs...the kind of raw kid U Conn & Syracuse used to get, unless I missed something.

From what I could find UConn is one of the schools that have offered him. Kansas, Texas A&M, Stanford, Maryland, and Oklahoma are a few others.

I read that he's from Pickering, Ontario, and plays for a Baltimore Catholic high school, and that he's reclassifying from class of <s> [2011 to 2010]</s> 2021 to 2020. Yes, UConn and IU are the latest offers.

edit: class of. :)

Thanks....the only story I found said he was 'considering' reclassifying to '20--was your story more definite?

Saw some recent comments by Brown-Ferguson to the effect that he is likely (70-30) to reclassify to 2020, and that IU is looking at him for 2020.....also, that Purdue is very much in play and that he respects Painter as a coach.....

So...I'm adding him to the 2020 post, but keeping him on this list as well.
