I would hope so but not sure what it is. I've read where Medicare is trying, in some places, to just pay doctors so much a year. That would probably cut down on the number of appointments but would it cut back appointments that you really need. There are so many things that encourage the provider to do unnecessary things. For example, it's to the dentist benefit if he "finds" a cavity to fill and I'm sure that some that "find" a cavity that don't exist.
One thing we need is a national health care data base where if I was in CA they could immediately look up my health records. To me doctors should be able to work in any state. I asked my doctor if he could diagnose anything if I was in TN (I'm in IN) and he said no so I said the secret is for me to lie and say I'm in IN.
