Well of course it matters, but we have better players on the roster now (as a whole), than we have had in years. We are also blessed with a solid OL and one of the best QBs in college football. Those two things are gigantic. On top of that, you have a staff that does an amazing job of teach and recruiting.

For all of you talking about waiting all this time for this kind of season, let Me throw out a couple of old jokes along this line.
An IU Fan Gets tickets for the Bucket Game at Purdue. He discovers that He has first row field level seat next to a Purdue fan. The Purdue fan has a dog sitting on His lap which seems a little strange. Purdue takes the kickoff and immediately moves to a first down. Very close race. Can’t predict as much. But all your front running will be brought down to size should he win.

Goode certainly had an off night shooting but he did at least rebound the ball. My thing with one dimensional players on the roster (think Matt Roth), is do they offer ANYTHING else to help offset their PT if their main benefit isn't on. If not, they're a major liability.

Having a guy that can grab rebounds is something that is usually a consistent habit. I love (non-post) players that get rebounds because that is showing hustle after a shot, and IU lacked that last year. We often stood still and stared at the ball in amazement while other teams were going around us and getting into position for a rebound.

Seeing Goode's career, I'm not worried about his shot and I'm glad to see him making aggressive plays on the board.
