Update . . .

I hear you. Multiple times.

I had a call with an excellent medmal attorney last week and she told me that no medmal attorney in Georgia worth their salt would take my case, because there is a presumption against a finding of malpractice in Georgia (most likely from the requirement that an attorney has to attach an affidavit to the complaint that the doc didnt meet the standard of care in the geographic area and docs don't do this) and these cases are expensive to try. So no medmal attorney will take the case. BTW, her opinion is that the doc likely committed negligence against me. I had no idea.

The fox is guarding the henhouse.

So the "system" has failed me multiple times. The GOP will never get my vote as a result.
I do not know a thing about the lawsuit angle. I was looking more at the healthcare side. Your PCP did not appear invested in your well being. Just there to collect a paycheck. She/he should have been moving mountains to get you the correct diagnostic procedures….quickly.

Were you able to get an appointment with a different neurologist?

Which side has more quiet or embarrassed voters this time around?

I think the most common and accepted belief is that Trump is likely going to win, with all these polling numbers showing that he's relatively even, within the margin of error. And I think a big reason for that was what happened in 2016. Where nearly all exit polling showed Clinton winning, in some cases handily, only to have Trump flip it all and win nearly everywhere it was close. Afterwards, that surprise was chalked up to significant numbers of voters not being honest, or not wanting to admit they were voting for Trump.

I wonder this time around though, if there might not be a better chance that potential Harris voters are the ones that would be more likely to not want to give that info to pollsters? Maybe its because of where I live, which is a heavy Trump supporting area, but it sure seems like the "quiet" vote this time would be a Harris vote.

There was a piece on one of the national news shows last night that made me think of this. They followed, and interviewed a couple of people in rural Georgia. One of them was a Trump supporter. One was someone that had historically been a Republican voter, but will be voting for Harris. She said there were "a lot" of people in her area that were going to vote for Harris, but that wouldn't tell pollsters, or really anyone that they were.

I guess we'll see in 6 days. One thing is virtually certain, it’s going to be a shit show.
Probably depends on your area. In mine, no one will put up a Trump sign. Would lead to the liberal Mommy Mafia coming after you.

how old are you? I have a shoulder injury (I'm sure it's a rotator cuff) that makes shooting from any distance, even FTs, a lot harder. It's weaker, but also like a mechanical "catch" and I just can't control the ball nearly as well. I can still shoot FTs OK, but not nearly as well and they just come out flat. When it was really bad, I'd try and shoot normally and the ball would only go a few feet. At least I haven't had the "other" dysfunction a lot of older guys get!

Have you ever tried FT golf? I always tried to get the kids I coached to play it between practices and would see who had the best score. You shoot 18 FTs, and a swish (absolutely no rim) is a birdie, a make w any rim is a par and a miss is a bogey. I'm guessing you can get to double digits under par. I think my best ever was -9. It really is a great drill because you'll be kind of frustrated that you aren't scoring very well and then realize you made like 16 of 18 FTs. Helps way more of your off shots still be makes.
I'm 46... I've never played that. I'll have to give it a try. Quick count, -9 is pretty legit!!

My sons love golf too, I might suggest they try this out with various different types of shots. I'll go out and "post a score in the clubhouse"...and see if they can beat it.

Thanks for the new drill, I thought I had heard of them all.

Side note, I too have some shoulder issues. For me its mainly any throwing motion, shooting seems fine still, especially after getting warmed up for a few minutes. Throwing a football though...at times is no bueno.

More attempted voter fraud (by you know who) thwarted by routine safeguards

Anyone can do it. Anyone, and that is the problem l. This is a weakness we know about. We HAD a solution for it until Florida dropped out triggering sheep states to follow.

But in all the talk of voter fraud here, I am the only one that mentions it. Why do you think that is? Could it be that Whites of some means are more likely to move between states, and we care less about them illegally voting? Hence why we here so much about possible fraud in ATL or PHI and not the suburbs yet Biden won because of the suburbs.
“Whites of some means are more likely to move between states”? I’m not interested in discussing election security within the context of race, I’ll leave it to you focus on that. I prefer to look at measures that can be applied to everyone. How do we make in-person voting accessible to everyone, save for the few scenarios which make that impossible? How is it reasonable to require ID to drive, buy liquor, cigarettes, lottery tix, & on & on, but not to vote for the most important job in the world? Requiring ID & voting in-person addresses nearly every security concern, including voting in multiple states.

Biden Calls Trump Supporters

Can’t. Stop. Laughing. If I was an AD and the guy walked in like this. Nothing under his tracksuit I’d stop him immediately. You’re hired. There’s an employment agreement on my assistant’s desk. Just fill in the salary you want. It’s insane

I’m buying him a crimson, ribbed shawl collar cardigan from L.L. Bean and having them embroider the IU logo on the left chest area and DREAM TEAM on the back. He’ll get it before the OSU game.

Polls - - a week out

I don’t care what the polls say, as I’m convinced the silent Trump vote is over baked into the models. I think Harris wins at least 5 of the 7 swing states. The eventual loser often sees a momentum push in mid October. Romney overtook Obama in the mid October polls. The eventual winner has most of the late vote break their way over the final weekend. You can feel the momentum swinging back to Harris, IMO. I don’t see her losing this race.

Look at the registration numbers vs turnout %….its very very close. If Trump can steal one blue wall state, he wins

This is a good idea

I guess we need to consider what being educated even means.

Interesting that you would toss law school in with bouncing around in different disciplines in Bloomington. After 19 years of k-12 education, 4 years undergrad, and 3 years law, I can easily say that I did not consider myself educated until law school.

Here is a bit of personal history that emphasizes the point.

When I was in Bloomington, candidates for a Bacekor of Arts degree had to pass an English proficiency exam. I flunked it. The paper was grammatically acceptable but I had nothing to say. (We were given some abstract question to comment on). I met with a grad student a few times, wrote another paper and passed. That was in the spring. Months later I was a 1L taking a mandatory class called something like The Legal Method. It was taught by a tough taskmaster. The grade in that class was based on a single paper. I got the highest grade in that class. What was the difference? I can’t put my finger on it other than to say law school was unlike any other learning experience.

That story screams for another explanation: that your work right before law school to rework your paper improved your writing ability.

What did you major in during undergrad?

Biden Calls Trump Supporters

They're effective when playing tournamemt golf, with decent rain, but not a downpour, when temps are in the 50's.

I mention "tournament" golf, because that's the only reason anyone should be playing in those conditions...other than Scotland/Ireland/Bandon/Kohler/Cabot golf trips, where they're also effective.

Rain repellent, without cinching up the arms...more mobile than long sleeves. Throw an under armor under them if needed for warmth and friction reduction, and they're perfect. 😄
I’ll take your word for it.

They still look ridiculous.

Fearless orange leader. You really are a fraud. A totally unoriginal one to boot as you’ve co-opted that from another poster who is in his 80s and demented. Great job

Anyway. Be proud. Maybe with your new party you can add minor gender reassignments to your calling
Does Rivals give you a quarter every time you use the word “progressive”?

Cleaning voter rolls is not hard. Stop making it sound like it’s hard. Some states just don’t want to do it.

We’re just going to disagree on this. I don’t believe everyone should vote. I don’t believe in rallying every single citizen to vote. If you’re apathetic and uninformed, please, please don’t vote.
I think dumbasses like you shouldn't vote. Neither of us gets our way.

Spotlighting Mike Katic

No you don't.

And Katic is playing for the same position coach he played for last year.
I imagine it was a "best 5" situation. Like, even if he was the best center in years past, the next best center was better than the next best guard.

Michael's a really impressive kid. His parents are a lot of fun too.
