Why The Democrats Lost/Why The Democrats Think They Lost

He is old.
He's so old he was banging Mrs. Garret not far out her prime.

It was a very tight election. Trump won the popular vote by only 1.5 percent and the battleground states were mostly very close. The Republican will only have a slight majority in the House and Senate. Stand by for a lot more gridlock.

It’s clearly because we rigged it. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

These elected folks do not view themselves as “servants” - not even “leaders” - they view themselves as rulers. This includes Trump.

The days of a Reagan or a Carter are gone … for now. Now a candidate wants to get elected to “impose” “fundamental change” over government and society. They tell us - we just don’t listen.

What a field day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singin' songs and a-carryin' signs
Mostly say, "Hooray for our side"

Nobody’s right when everybody’s wrong

The other they keep propping up is AOC. Dumb and dumber. Dem party is busted. Only thing holding it together to be honest is pelosi and all the old timers. When they die off forget it. Radical left lunatics
If they decide to look at some of the more popular/successful governors I think the Democratic party could rebound and win big in '28.

People hate Pritzker Newsom AOC Harris etc. the woke Covid crazies. Pick a centrist, drop the identity politics, and focus on workers and the Dems should never lose. They stepped on their dicks with stupid shit. Defunding cops and trannies etc

Agree on more centrist Democrats being the key. I voted for Harris, but she wasn't my first choice. I would have been happy if the Democrats would get behind someone like Andy Beshear or Josh Shapiro. I actually think one of those two probably would have beat Trump. I think Whitmer probably would have done better than Harris. I think Newsom has presidential aspirations, but in the current political climate he couldn't win a national race.

Get a better paying job, do something, get a better education. Let’s see

Job assistant director of fraternity and sorority life. Salary. $62,000.

Accdg to the internet he’d net $45k a year. Take home about $3,700 a month. The median home price in Eugene is half a mil

In other words he has a shit job with a shit salary and he absolutely would be impacted by a 40 year spike in inflation. He’s just pissed more Americans cared about that than LGBTQ shit

Brett Guthrie or Thomas Massie.

I’d bet on Guthrie.
I think the world of Massie, and have contributed multiple times to his campaign, but the US House would never give him the gavel. He's too smart, moral and ethical for most of those people.
Massie walks the walk...
Contrast Massie with most of the placeholders in the IN delegation.

SMH....

I was thinking the other day about the election. The House elections. Mike Johnson has a “majority” that is pretty much unworkable. Without diving into the numbers I figured Trump would have more coattails. But alas, presidential popular vote totals are not the same as House vote totals. What was the house Popular vote share?

R 50.55%

D 47.85%

An even larger popular vote margin for House than President.

One of the things that he always irked me to no end is the insistence by some, I think first and foremost of our lost friend Cosmic, that Gerrymandering is a predominately Republican phenomenon. But this vote share would indicate a Republican margin of 12 seats in the House as opposed to its actual 5 (this doesn’t even get into the botched 2020 census that cheated Republicans out of about half a dozen seats).

So I come to the board with a plea. Can Democrats stfu about Gerrymandering once and for all?

He says he's very proud of being "a very petty person." And posts that for the world to see.
