Let's just get it out there now and be done with it:

1) Not and never will be Bobby Knight;
2) His training and practice regimes causing and responsible for Player injuries - Aljami and Romeo getting hurt by UTA proves it;
3) Knows less about IU's current Players/basketball than many here;
4) Never won a championship so doesn't how to;
5) Was a point guard so can't coach 'bigs';
6) Came from a mid-major so isn't prepared to coach at this level;
7) Last name isn't Stevens, Donovan, Beilein, Holtmann, etc.;
8) Not a native Hoosier;
9) Real name is Ryan Joseph, not 'Archie', therefore a fraud;
10) Too damn short to be successful.

Only five games into the Season but the sky has already fallen on a once mighty but now mediocre program with no hope or end in sight. Clearly IU made the wrong hire. But as that's out of the way, only thing left to discuss is whom IU should hire to replace Ryan Joseph, a.k.a. 'Archie', Miller. Should be former NBA so as to seduce lots of OADs by pitching the 'next level' thus allowing IU to become a carousel-program just like UK.

This is just my opinion,but that is just your opinion. The game has changed so much since the early seventies. After every weak showing or loss, some people are ready to jump ship. Stay the course and make the tournament. Improve as the year moves forward. This team does have veterans, but all are not that strong, and the rest are still second year and freshmen. This team and season are young. Enjoy and don't take it so seriously. There are a lot things in this life that need our serious attention everyday. Yes, everyone here wants to win and succeed, but just enjoy. Let Archie do his job, he will bring in stronger classes and better teams in the future. Everyone just needs to take a breath.

Which reminds me... I have yet to see her get any face time on TV since Archie arrived. Joni almost always got at least one shot during a telecast. Morgan would be an upgrade, that's for sure. I wonder if they've made it known they don't want her shown for some reason. She sure wasn't shy during Dayton's run the the NCAA a few years ago.

Well, I am sorry I missed it. Your sense of humor is much mor dryer than mine. When I make jokes I try to make others laugh. Your joke seem to make people think you are serious. Once sorry. I will not jump so quick next time!
It's definitely an odd sense of humor, but sense of humor nonetheless. I wasn't able to fully loosen up until "Too short to be successful", recalling the better days of Napoleon Bonaparte.

No worries. Just a parody of the resident alarmist sect - save for the last two bullet points, all of it has been cited here during the last six months, much of it repeatedly. Not worth a whit, but Archie has my complete support.

Yes. Where has she been hiding? Sampson's family members got a lot of face time, IIRC.

Come on Rikki...You just gave some Yahoos 9 reasons to hate Coach Miller that they never thought of! Pretty thorough list...kudos!

Come on yourself - the only things not repeatedly posted on this site are the items about his name and being too short. :cool:

Deadly earnest. Really. I never kid. Trust me.

I read the whole thing. Not much substance there.

And apparently even less comprehension. Someone might infer that you're currently over-medicated and/or that you simply don't register what's read. Not me of course, but someone...

"It's a joke son" and the confession that it's a parody are pretty clear. Just fooling around.

I hope you are kidding with this. If not,you are way off into outer space. The injuries occurred by aggressive plays and had nothing to do with Practices. DeRon is still mending after surgery and therapy. Devonte ,Jerome and McRoberts all have various injuries that just happen. Race,I don't know about his.If all these players get healthy[Jerome will take a while], IU will be deep. My ONLY concern is starting 5 playing way too many minutes. Moore and Forrester need minutes while playing these smaller schools to get acclimated to college game. Damesi and Justin both need to focus on d and keep aggressive on O. My gosh,this is only CAM 's second year. You act like he has been here for 5.

That makes too much sense......

I wish you were kidding about hoping I'm kidding. Makes you look like you are 5.

What is it about "joke", "parody" and "fooling around" that is so hard to understand?

Yes, it was obviously parody to me. But... as it was noted, only your last two "points" haven't been written seriously by others on this board. What makes parody successful is that it's close enough to the truth to make people realize how stupid the "truth" can be at times. You succeeded at that... maybe a little too well for others.

I met Joni on several occasions...she never failed to impress me...I often wished she were the coach...

This thread is so helpful to filter out and ignore the yahoos. Can you people actually read? There goes the theory of an intelligent fan base. Thanks Rikki!

Give the man time to adjust. Comparing him to knight is unfair. Totally different time period. Most coaches come from mid majors and it takes time for them to win. He’s not going to be able to just take Indiana to the promised land after the train wreck he was given. Just because he came from a mid major means nothing. Cal came from umass, bill self from Tulsa, he will evolve, trust the process. He’s a respectable up and coming coach that will right the ship. It may be another year or so but y’all got a good one. Most importantly his wife is an absolute smoke show

I gave you a like for multiple posts on his wife.

Starting to get slightly creepy, but not untrue.

Cheers.

Maybe it's just a postprandial mental torpor thang today but mildly aghast at how many cannot differentiate fiction from reality. Knew it was bad when Agent oRange took over, but geez.

On a side note, your bit about Archie's wife is tasteless. That's the man's wife, kindly spare her (and us) your juvenile commentary.

While everybody should understand the sarcasm in his post, keep in mind that some of these same posters posting things like this tongue-in-cheek take are the same calling Archie the second coming of Christ. Our savior who had performed miracles in the first season + 5 games. The irony is that as some posters on the board are off the deep end, there are others who live at the other end of the spectrum, overly giddy and chock full of excuses for poor play. Who is worse here?
Archie certainly has a lot of promise but has certainly not arrived by any extent. There are things in our play that are very Crean-esque (turnovers and lazy passes), that are fair to call out. There is a middle ground between both sides. Not as glowing as some indicate but not as dire. That’s known as average. Right now, we are an average basketball team and have the possibility of going either way: outstanding or poor.
