LOL, if you need Trump supporters to stop making shit up, you might as well go away now, because that is never going to happen.
They won’t stop and they shouldn’t..
Swearing In Kamala Harris GIF by CBS News

My understanding is “legal expenses” was selected from a drop down in a software billing program. Seems simple enough. You're paying a lawyer, mark it as legal expenses. I don’t believe there was an option for “Reimbursement for NDA payment to Porn star”
That's your "understanding"? That's not what Trump's own DOJ said in 2018 when they prosecuted Cohen...

"In January 2017, COHEN in seeking reimbursement for election-related expenses, presented executives of the Company with a copy of a bank statement from the Essential Consultants bank account, which reflected the $130,000 payment COHEN had made to the bank account of Attorney-1 in order to keep Woman-2 silent in advance of the election, plus a $35 wire fee, adding, in handwriting, an additional “$50,000.” The $50,000 represented a claimed payment for “tech services,” which in fact related to work COHEN had solicited from a technology company during and in connection with the campaign. COHEN added these amounts to a sum of $180,035. After receiving this document, executives of the Company “grossed up” for tax purposes COHEN’s requested reimbursement of $180,000 to $360,000, and then added a bonus of $60,000 so that COHEN would be paid $420,000 in total. Executives of the Company also determined that the $420,000 would be paid to COHEN in monthly amounts of $35,000 over the course of 12 months, and that COHEN should send invoices for these payments."

Trump knew these were reimbursements, not actual expenses that Cohen incurred in 2017. You yourself used the term reimbursement, but Todd Blanche maintained there was no reimbursement (because if he admitted they were reimbursements he practically admitted Trump's guilt)...

Furthermore when the DOJ prosecuted Cohen they pointed out that the idea of a retainer was fiction...

"Throughout 2017, COHEN sent to one or more representatives of the Company monthly invoices, which stated, “Pursuant to the retainer agreement, kindly remit payment for services rendered for” the relevant month in 2017, and sought $35,000 per month. The Company accounted for these payments as legal expenses. In truth and in fact, there was no such retainer agreement, and the monthly invoices COHEN submitted were not in connection with any legal services he had provided in 2017.

During 2017, pursuant to the invoices described above, COHEN received monthly $35,000 reimbursement checks, totaling $420,000."

So you're claiming that the self described "great Businessman" sent Cohen $35000/mo for legal services in 2017, and wasn't aware that there was no actual retainer agreement? And further this titan of business acumen was unaware that Cohen hadn't performed any "legal services" in any of the months of 2017 which Trump was paying him $35,000/month to perform?

Did Eric or Junior work out this deal with Cohen which amounted to stealing $$ out of Papa's pockets? Trump's own DOJ knew in 2018 that there was no retainer. Did everyone just keep that bit of knowledge from sleepy Donnie?

How many years behind bars should the looters and arsonists get from the summer of love?
Well the Summer of Love was in San Francisco during the late 1960s and I don't remember the arsonists ... just a bunch of hippies and a great music scene.

Here's the wiki ... Summer of Love Okay since we now know when the summer of love was we can continue..

If you're talking about the Floyd protests, I'll state the obvious and say what ever sentence they got. I don't know why I have to state the obvious but ... whatever... it's even a bit insulting for you to ask but hope you're satisfied.

We, the liberals and progressives, are not the caricature created by foreign and right wing propaganda to infest your brain with worms.

Not every thing in life is black/white there's a whole plethora of colors, tints and tones in between. You seem to have a problem with that concept and project it on to others... Everything is us/them to you.

I haven’t studied this case as much as you, psycho. It’s white noise. Your post is a convoluted, jaded mess made of more quotes than actual opinion.

My understanding is that hush money is not illegal. Cohen however invoicing for more than he was owed is illegal. Can you explain the crime for a laymen like me.

I get lost easily in this Russian nesting doll of misdemeanors wrapped around federal felonies charged by a state prosecutor.

Nobody cares about the gun charge that DOJ failed to let Hunter wiggle out of.

A special counsel should have been appointed to look into the Biden families overseas business dealings. Someone in the mold of Ted Cruz or Josh Hawley would be great.

Expecting the House to do so is a joke. The House can’t investigate anything. Might as well ask a kindergarten class to open the investigation.
"A special counsel should have been appointed to look into the Biden families overseas business dealings."

Why is that? Is it illegal for US citizens to engage in business deals with foreigners? If so someone should tell Donnie, Ivanka and Jared.

Ivanka and Jared profited while on the pubblic payroll. Why no outrage or call for a "Special Prosecutor" to investigate the Trump family?

Just trying to understand the selective outrage, since Hunter and his uncle James were private citizens and Jared and Ivanka were Government employees?

He didn't invoice for more than he was owed. He invoiced for the agreed upon amount. But one of the charges vs Cohen was that he participated in a conspiracy...

"COHEN was reimbursed for the latter payment in monthly installments disguised as payments for legal services performed pursuant to a retainer, when in fact no such retainer existed. COHEN made or caused both of these payments in order to influence the 2016 election and did so in coordination with one or more members of the campaign."

Now even if you want to claim that Cohen dreamed up this ploy (he didn't) someone still had to send him the checks, which were signed by Donald. Presumably a man that some feel is qualified to be POTUS is not going to just willy nilly sign a $35,000 check each month to his attorney for "legal services" when no legal services are being performed?

Again Trump's own DOJ in charging Cohen in 2018 said that there was no retainer. In order to believe Trump innocent, you have to maintain that while everyone else involved in the scheme knew there was no retainer, that somehow Trump was unaware...

Maybe that's why Trump has bankrupted so many of his businesses?

You bore me. You think it’s okay to convict a former president over this garbage?

Gain some perspective. Shits a clown show. There’s a reason we don’t indict former presidents. It’s because there’s no such thing as a neutral jury for a president. It’s the most famous person in in the country and everyone already has an opinion.

That’s until Biden and his progressive goons came along. Sickening people.

This “gotcha” game with judges taking trips and not documenting everything perfectly is really unbecoming for the Democratic Party. Sotomayor got dinged for the same thing. It’s a transparent attempt to discredit SCOTUS because Democrats are pouting about the fact they feel they no longer control it.
What is unbecoming is failure to comply with the rules

But sure, blame the people that call them out for it

I’ve never read a post where you condemned the protests and called for prison time for the looters and arsonists.
Not sure about him specifically but many liberal posters have said looters and arsonists should be punished. Haven't seen anyone say otherwise.

How about those victim tourists on j6? I have seen quite a few conservatives defending that shit.

I'm sorry, I'm tired after a long day, I can't spin as fast as you. Whatever the f*ck point you think you just made, you win.
You didn’t answer my question from earlier, goat.

Why do you think this is the final nail in Biden’s coffin? Is it just the energizing of Trumps base? Something else?

I’m genuinely curious.

For the record, I think this case is purely political horseshit. It’s aimed at damaging Trumps polling and nothing more. I think any reasonable person can see that.

I just don’t think the impact of being able to refer to Trump as “convicted felon” can be overcome.

Any that destroyed property should be prosecuted. If anyone assaulted police they should be prosecuted.

Every single one of those was filed appropriately and vetted you clown. 10% for the big guy has not been investigated.
So you think MBS and Jared never discussed financial matters while Jared was in the White House? And then on a whim MBS just suddenly decided that Jared was the guy he wanted investing his money?

In March 2018 The Intercept posted an article about a surprise trip Kushner took to Riydah in Oct 2017. Reports say that he and MBS spent the entire night talking and planning strategy.

MBS told his confidants that he and Kushner had discussed the names of Saudi Royal family members disloyal to MBS. The info could only have come from the President's Daily Brief, which Kushner had access to until his security clearance was revoked...Kushner denied MBS's claims...

Yet a week later on Nov 4 MBS launched what he characterized as an "anti-corruption crackdown". Various members of the Royal family (including the ones that had been listed in the President's Daily Brief) were arrested and imprisoned in Riydah. Some were even tortured...

Two days later Trump took to twitter...

The Inercept published their account of the Jared/MBS meeting in March 2018. Before the end of the year American citizen Jamal Khashoggi was brutally murdered in Istanbul on MBS's orders. Jared later defended MBS and urged the Administration to stand by his bud...

Was all of that "vetted" as well?

lmao Look at you, questioning the ethics of judges!
You're the one who has been whining about the "conflicted status" of Judge Merchon. Yet when it's pointed out to you that Cannon who was appointed directly by Trump, is a member of the Federalist Society and hangs out on expensive retreats with like-minded folks, you have no problem with her not recusing herself?

And yet you're upset because Merchon, who gave less than $50 to the Biden campaign 5 yrs ago, didn't recuse himself? Two questions which of these two "conflicted" judges do you think was appointed to handle a Trump case first?

And secondly how much do you think the annual fees for Federalist society membership are ?

Well it's obvious you don't have an actual answer, so you try and change the subject. Not sure if it's fair to lump you in with the dbm/DANC crowd, but both of them have been screaming for months to indict/impeach Biden for "crimes" that he suuposedly committed as a VP.

And the Trumpers keep trying to blame Biden for what happened to Trump. But Biden wasn't even in Government at that point in time...

Nice sleuthing. The last conference in question was September of 2022. The indictment in the docs case was filed June 2023.

Got me. I didn't bother to check the time line.

So what do you think made Cannon stand out enough to get an invite?

My condolences. Road rage is a particularly heinous crime that could strike any of us...

Was a firearm involved?
No he wrecked upside down in a pond. All 3 drowned except him and their son. The other guy who he was trading paint with survived.

No shit. And they'll blame people like you for voting Biden in office.
Yes sure they will. Biden will be a minor footnote. Trump will have books devoted to his brainwashed cult and exactly what happened. Actually there are multiple books out there already from the people who know him best. But historians will need to wait awhile.

Why isn't the DOJ investigating Joe?

The GOP has found plenty. The fact you don't pay attention is not surprising.
The GOP has found nada. The DOJ is not investigating because there is nothing to investigate, as the GOP found out. You think they are sitting on it? Lol

Who thinks Trump has never dont anything wrong? No one. Once again, your hyperbole just makes you look hysterical.

Is that what you're going for?
I believe you were trying to say has never done anything wrong. You and the others are the ones that appear hysterical here , crying about both yours and Trump’s victimhood. Two tiered Justice, blah, blah, blah.

no, the obvious reason is that our former presidents haven’t been known criminals until Trump.
