Haha you just don’t get it."Just because a team offers doesn't mean they actually want you to play for them"-bsmitty08 probably

How it goes...they will offer. If said kid says I want to commit and he isn’t the top on the baird at that spot they will ask them to hold off. Teams offer a pool of players. Prioritize that board then recruit the board. What is there to get? A coach offers you a scholarship, regardless if he's actively recruiting you the hardest or not, he thinks you were good enough to help the program. No? You think Izzo offered Galloway for the hell of it? Had Galloway committed on the spot, what was Izzo going to do, "Oh I was just kidding, I offered you but really wasn't recruiting you or planning on you attending the school I coach at"?
You said Galloway was an average player. It still doesn't excuse the fact that Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, etc have all offered, regardless to the extent of how hard each school is recruiting Galloway.

Actually yes they do. Now if you are Romeo type then no, they will hold a spot until you decide. You're still missing the fact that those schools offered Galloway a scholarship. Regardless if he committed on the spot or 6 months down the road, it doesn't excuse the fact that they thought he could contribute to the program. If they didn't think Galloway was going to commit on the spot, they never would have offered him. You see how this works? No coach is going to offer a kid a scholarship and then say wait until I tell you to commit. Don't be stupid.

Ok agree to disagreeActually, no they don't. They start offering kids when plan A, B, and C fall by the wayside. Why do you think IU started offering guys like Beverely, Quinones, etc once Brooks committed elsewhere? Because if Beverly or Quinones had been offered and committed while Brooks was still uncommitted there wouldn't have been any more scholarships left.
If you are a coach you offer kids who will contribute in your system based on how they play and what kind of character and work ethic they have. You offer kids who will get better under your tutelage. You don't just look at rankings and say that a kid doesn't meet some lame recruiting analyst's bar of "good enough".
That’s where you work? Nothing for you to be ashamed of. We’ll talk burgers next time.Sir this is a Wendy’s
This post will definitely be a winner at the cliche festival.Thank you, and that is the knock on Galloway. He's not a top 50 kid so he won't make it big time. Galloway has Dakota Mathias written all over him. Not as good a passer, but a better scorer who is bigger, stronger, and more athletic. Anyone who says they don't need a Dakota Mathias is lying to themselves. A son of a coach who already has great instinct and a feel for the game who is going to come in and work with a chip on his shoulder that will develop into a key contributor as an upperclassmen. Those are the kinds of kids that help you win games.

“rather it be”. LolAnd it will be true wherever he plays rather it be Ohio State, Michigan State, or IU. I'm hoping it's the latter.
It’s July 17th. IU has the same number of commits as Kentucky and Kansas combined and the same number of signed players as every team in the country (both zero). It’s July 17th.
You're almost correct........Duke has 2 5-star verbals, UNC and MSU each a 4-star, shall I go on?
If you wanted to play at a school and there's only 1-2 spots at your position and you know there's several other offers at said position.................yeah, why would want to commit?
The long term track record of UK and KU strongly suggests they’ll both prosper in the 2020 recruiting race. The future for IU in that regard is far less certain. No everything I said is 100% correct. To date Kentucky and Kansas have zero verbal commits (never said anything about Duke, UNC, and MSU) and to date NOBODY has anybody signed as the fall signing period doesn't begin until early November.

You’re judging IU, UK and KU uniformly, when the results of the latter two strongly indicate that they should be evaluated differently. Not sure why that’s beyond your ability to comprehend. But they aren't off to a good start are they? It's July 18th. Remember.

I’m not saying anyone should worry, but judging IU’s results by those of UK and KU show you to not have any understanding of recruiting.No. I'm making a comparison that on July 18th, 2 of the 3 best basketball programs in the country don't have a recruit signed. The sky isn't falling. IU has signed MCd's AA in consecutive years and is looking on track to sign a third consecutive Indiana Mr. Basketball. I'm not at all worried.
I can’t read the stuff you’re replying to so it has to be the board’s trolling dunce. He’s 100% worthless and the board is far better without seeing his posts. But they aren't off to a good start are they? It's July 18th. Remember.

Who will be the third mr basketball? No. I'm making a comparison that on July 18th, 2 of the 3 best basketball programs in the country don't have a recruit signed. The sky isn't falling. I see feepaw’s posts. He’s possibly even dumber than Mary, but I find him funny so I don’t have him on ignore. Mary stupidly says the same things continuously which makes him boring and tiresome, so he’s on ignore. Eventually he’ll change his name and it’ll be obvious It’s him by his third post.Fpeaugh said "who in their right mind would want to commit to IU after missing three consecutive tournaments". I reminded him that IU has signed consecutive all-americans and two straight Mr. Basketball's. He quickly turned his stance to "nobody has committed this year yet". I reminded him that it was only July 17th and that schools like Kentucky and Kansas have yet to receive any verbals as well and nobody has signed anybody since the fall period doesn't start for a few months and now Prankster is back with his usual adds on not knowing anything about anything.
Galloway is a very good defensive player. He has offers from Michigan State, Purdue, and Butler among others. I think I’ll take their opinion over yours. Why wouldn’t you want to have a hard-nosed, outside shooting, Indiana born court leader on the team? SMH
Galloway will need to put up bigger numbers next year. Ivey will be a candidate and my pick may be Nigel Pack if his team makes a runGalloway or Leal.

We don't want him If he has Dakota Mathias written all over him. Who wants to look at that s***?
I kept him around for laughs and as a study on Dunning Kruger. It eventually became boring and as of yesterday he's in my idiot or troll list. If anyone gets a chance tell him to ESAD once in awhile.. he'll miss that.I see feepaw’s posts. He’s possibly even dumber than Mary, but I find him funny so I don’t have him on ignore. Don't want a guy who is a career 42% three point shooter that was 2x All-B10 defensive team? No wonder why this program is never going to progress, we're fascinated with recruiting stars.
geez....it was a joke....you know "Dakota Mathias written all over him"....
Well this wouldn't be the first time someone has suggested not taking Galloway
I think people don't like that 3-star designation given by Rivals. However, he is a 4-star according to 247 (in house rankings) and ESPN.
