You can’t take the conservative label for you and the Trumpsters. Sure, SOME of what you believe is conservative is conservative, but much is not. The “no compromise” aspect of Trumpism isn’t conservative or practical. The Incivility aspect isn’t conservative. The anti-FBI, military and law and order aspect isn’t conservative. The fealty toward and idolatry of Trump isn’t conservative. We Republicans that aren’t Trumpsters are mostly conservatives. We do not fit in the Democratic Party. We don’t fit in the Trumpster Party. A third option would be great. I guess Libertarian is an option, and I like a lot of what that stands for, but not enough. Politics is a screwed up mess right now, and it’s mostly on Trump and his followers.
You think Trump and his minions are Christians? Maybe grab that Bible this weekend. WWJD? I’m not sure, but I’m pretty sure he would not act like Trump.

You’re correct and I’m not trying to take the conservative label from anyone. That facts are the facts. Republicans haven’t been fiscally conservative the past two decades and it’s been detrimental to the party. In order to be the Conservative Party the foundation of the party should be fiscal conservatism. Unfortunately, most Republicans are poorly educated on economics and are Keynesian like Democrats or at least the politicians making the decisions.
I never brought up Trump. I took issue with RZ claiming the Republican Party has been taken over by Christian Talibanist. I find it ironic you’re talking about incivility when you responded to myself and not RZ.
We disagree. The Republican Party is screwed up because it gave up on being the fiscally conservative party.

What a bizarre critique of Trumpism as not being Conservative. Even more odd because there are real, tangible critiques you can make wrt to Trump not being Conservative. Protectionist trade policy, waffling on abortion, staunch defense of entitlements. None of those things are Conservative
Your critiques are just strange. Childish gripes. There is no “compromise” to be had if the parties don’t even agree on the goal (a strong border and well functioning immigration system for instance). Civility isn’t inherently conservative or liberal. Neither is idolatry.
Distrust of federal law enforcement and the MIC? That’s an interesting one because even though it may be more prevalent among the right at the moment, it has vacillated throughout history. I happen to believe that Republicans would be wise to take a hard line against federal bureaucratic authority and corporate capture of our government. I don’t see it as anti-conservative as all.
You need to hit the sidelines for a bit a take stock off your beliefs, because I’m not sure you’ve ever really been all that Conservative.

Democrats want 5k freebee illegals a day before they lock down the border and don’t allow in asylum seekers. Lankford has apparently worked them down to 3K. Is this the kind of “compromise” you are looking for? We’re not trying to compromise to solve a problem. We’re compromising over to what extent we will allow Democrats to degrade border security and bastardize asylum laws.

Trump was not an isolationist. He’s Jacksonian. Transactional, negotiated using the defense department rather than the state department, values free other than what serves U.S. interests. He essentially assassinated a member of the Iranian cabinet. Do you prefer to slowly climb the escalatory ladder like we are doing currently?
