Tucker Carlson 1/6 tapes

Long story short: the Trumpsters are just as dumb as we always thought.
Not sure they've ever looked more stupid than they do in this thread. In fairness, though, I think they're in shock over the revelation that their favorite mouth-breathing fake news opinion host hates Trump.

Why? That's not a surprise. They've been turning on Fox for months now. None of this is a revelation.

The reaction to Carlson has to be migraine inducing for the faithful. On the one hand, he's "proving" that Jan 6 was a peaceful, patriotic demonstration. On the other, he hates Trump with a passion, and can't wait to be over him. How does a Trumper deal with all that and still function?

Easy: They aren't very intelligent.

Only if you haven't been paying attention. The stupid people have been stupid for over a year, now. This doesn't reveal anything. The hacks have been hacks.
What the actual fvck are you talking about? I can't pay attention to something before it's disclosed.

Carlson's texts, disclosed in court filings for the first time this week, were certainly a revelation - - at least for me.

the real revelation that everyone should grasp, and no one does, is that the talking heads are all just going off the script.

which i've been saying here for yrs.

the talking heads are there as spokespersons for others' agendas, not their own.

that goes for all of them.

and while Gretchen Carlson, Megan Kelly, Jeanine Pirro, and Tucker, were/are all blowing Roger Ailes and doing Rupert's bidding for their jobs, Chris Matthews, Cuomo, Anderson Cooper, Erin Burnett, Joe and Mika, Chris Hayes, and Rachel, were/are all basically blowing the fund managers at Black Rock and Vanguard and the big pharma/big banks CEOs for their jobs.

there is no such thing as an economically liberal multinational conglomerate corporation, nor can there possibly be, and that goes for tech as well.

thus both sides all work for the same agenda, and do so by keeping everyone fighting 24/7/365 over social issues and off everything economic, like runaway monopolization and price gouging and tax policy and off shoring that Murdoch, the mega fund managers, and advertiser CEOs, don't want so much as brought up.

Per Lawrence tonight, Carlson has shown less than 4 minutes of video out of the 40 thousand hours he was provided.
The problem is it wasn’t shown. Aloha was and is right about representation. Add same to the fact that there are no rules of evidence, no cross, etc and we get the ability to do what Carlson is doing which will only add fire to the trump faction.

Carlson is a complete douchebag. He got his headlines this week, mostly due to the texts reveal and not his bullshit video review and related programming.

That is the point Ben Shapiro made a few days back. Then there is this:

Trump has become so big of a deal to his opponents they run around doing the conspiracy shit that his supporters accuse them of. The only thing on those videos that "hurt" their narrative was the overhand convictions they threw at some people. We all saw the destruction that day and anyone who did even a scintilla of digging saw the type of stuff Carlson was showing. It wasn't an insurrection. It was a destructive and violent political riot. What Carlson showed doesn't change that.

However, when you act like there is stuff to hide and you select the worst to paint everything in a certain manner, you do call into question what you are hiding. And that has been the MO of the government and agents of the government on far, far too many things circling around Trump and control. The Trump supporters have a legitimate reason to question things because there has been an awful lot of lying and obfuscation the past 6 or 7 years.

Our reps are really, really bad

there has been an awful lot of lying and obfuscation the past 6 or 7 years.
And most of it has come from Trump and his minions.

Marjorie Taylor Greene and others in her camp want to visit the rioters in jail, portraying them as political prisoners, the Jan 6 Martyrs. What bullshit.

I know what I saw that day. So do you. You alluded to it in your post. It's was a violent and destructive riot. 140 cops were hurt defending the Capitol, some seriously. 5 cops who defended the Capitol died in the days and weeks that followed. The people responsible for this, particularly the ringleaders, need to be held accountable.

I suspect the QAnon Shaman will be portrayed as one of those unjustly convicted. Again, what bullshit. He was a ringleader. He used a bullhorn to incite the mob. He was one of the first to illegally enter the building. He held a flagpole topped with a spear tip. He left a threatening note for Pence, "It's only a matter of time. Justice is coming." He later admitted in court, "I have no excuse. No excuses whatsoever. My behavior is indefensible."

What's exculpatory? That law enforcement, for a time, was peacefully escorting him through the building? Again, utter bullshit. Thomas Manger, the Capitol Police Chief, has already responded to the nonsensical claim that Capitol Police served as "tour guides" for the shaman. Manger characterized that claim as "outrageous and false." He described what we all witnessed - - the fact that Capitol Police were badly outnumbered that day, and law enforcement "did their best to use de-escalation tactics to try to talk rioters into getting each other to leave the building.”

The shaman looked crazy, was talking crazy, carried a spear and had assumed the role of a mob leader. He was threatening and intimidating, and Capitol Police were understandably trying to talk him off the ledge. Good luck to his attorney with a habeas corpus petition. It'll go nowhere.

He plead to obstruction. No exculpatory evidence in his case for that

The Brady Rule matters for Shaman guy. And what you said is kind of the point I was making. The willingness to step over rules is a negative thing.

I don't recall you rending your garments when the J6 committee was cherry picking what videos to broadcast in the made-for-TV specials.

I don't give a shit about character development. I want to see the actions scenes.

Haha!!!!! They aren’t ready for you!!!! They thought you were snoozing!!!!! I love when you catch them like this. Late night. Early. You leave em on their heels!!!!

Haha. Danc the Destroyer. He's so tough he claims to have Bulk and me on ignore. Poor little buddy was apparently triggered by our posts. (I know he still reads at least some of them, though).

Here's some action scenes you've probably forgotten.

Fun fact: More police officers were injured during these protests than on Jan 6. I don't recall Kinzinger sobbing into the mic over this.

i don't blame you for trying to change the subject.

smart move. you were getting killed by the truth of Jan 6.

(who ya gonna believe, Tucker or your own eyes)?

keep trolling. your appetite is obviously insatiable.

is it some kind of curse on you that your trolling appetite has to be fed every 2 mins?

I don't find it that shocking.

The number of true believers/followers is much smaller than the number of people worshipping trump due to it being politically/financially helpful to them.

In 2015, a lot of his current political followers were saying how it needs to be anyone but Trump for the nomination. People's true opinions of others don't flip as fast as they did when he won the nomination.
