Trump Trial - New York

What do you think is the most likely outcome in the New York trial?

  • A guilty verdict on some or all of the counts

  • An acquittal ("total exoneration!")

  • A hung jury (jury cannot reach a unanimous decision and a mistrial is declared)

  • Trump pleads guilty to something prior to a verdict being rendered

  • Other (for example, a mistrial based on something other than a hung jury)

Results are only viewable after voting.
What crime? The prosecution can't even name one. Dersh says he hasn't seen a bigger farce in his entire 60 year legal career.

I read there were two lawyers on the jury. Obviously no idea as to their politics but they are not what I would want on a jury where things are muddy. They could walk the dummy jurors through matters where they may not otherwise be able to connect the dots

My favorite part of the Deniro speech was at the end as he's walking away, he gets into with a MAGA dude. He claims the dems are trying to act gentlemanly and then tosses out a "**** you".

This country has turned into a freaking clown show.

Both are hardcore Dems. They do not care. Both would probably be run out of their law firms if they didn't vote to convict.

I would have to think, that someone in the biden camp, has to be thinking "ok that didn't go as planned, we have to shelf bob". That was brutal, no matter how colored your glasses are.

Just so you know how math works, if 80% of the jury pool in Dem and 20% Pub, the odds of all 12 jurors being Dem is (0.8)^12.

6.9% chance

Deniro is a lying sack of green shit who said he’d leave if Trump was elected in 2016.

The idea that the Biden campaign thought putting out the call to meet across the street from the courthouse to hear from special guests would go well is dumb. Anyone with half a brain would know that there would be a mob of MAGA people ready to go off on them as a result of them advertising it.

MAGA idiots. Incivility and rude crude behavior are not faults to them - they actually think those are positive character traits.

You have no idea if they're Democrats or Republicans. You just can't use honesty to defend your Lord Trump.

Yeah, but that's not how jury selection works. It's not a random selection of eligible jurors.
The prosecution and defense attorneys both have a say on who gets on the jury. Are you saying Trump's lawyers are less skillful than the prosecutors?

maybe they aren't succumbing to a mob of idiot cultists

Just admit you lied about knowing what party the lawyers on the jury claim. They might even be independents. You don't know and neither do I.

As for the trial, I said at the beginning this was the weakest of the trials and I didn't think it should have happened. The federal cases are the trials which should have happened. Georgia trial is redundant with the federal election interference trial.

Although I don't think this trial should have happened and I have no idea what the jury verdict will be, if it's guilty you'll have a massive meltdown on this board. I bet you'd shed real tears for three days straight.

Yes so many Trump supporters get their news from the NY Times and MSNBC like most of the jury does.

What kind of weird point are you trying to make? Are you making a point that all Trump supporters get their misinformation from moronic Trumpster Twitter twits like you do?

I agree this trial shouldn't have happened. Frankly, the only one that should be brought is the documents case, and it won't come close to happening. I cannot imagine this case getting a conviction. I haven't followed it very much, but any house built on Cohen's word is going to be pretty weak.

There will be a conviction. Merchan will not allow a hung jury. He will send them back time and again until they come back with a conviction.

From the juror profiles numb skull. God you are painfully stupid.
Tell us the political preference of each juror. You do know the New York Times is their hometown newspaper, right? Both lawyers also read the Wall Street Journal as well, does that mean they’re Republicans or conflicted? Go ahead and go down the list and tell us each juror’s party.

I’m not claiming to know their political preference so chill the hell out. I can infer from NYT and WSJ that they are more likely than not Democrats as those are both left wing publications (yes other than the Op-Ed section WSJ is left wing). But there’s no way to know for sure.

I particularly enjoyed the part where bob started (paraphrase) we do not let terrorist........ (not to self, that might be too far... checks his script)... I owe this city so much. I love this city....

muahahahaha.. Just read your lines bob, just read the friggin lines. Nobody gives 2 shits of your opinion, just read the damn lines. The only thing you have ever been successful with, is pretending to be something that you are not....... OH wait, maybe that is what him and uncle joe have in common.

Does that kind of behavior make you proud? Would you feel the same if moonbats were behaving the same way to a Republican celebrity?

Nothing wrong with their behavior. If some celebrity has the temerity to believe his opinion is so important (police escorts etc) I’m glad to see people come shout him down.

I would have expected nothing less

That was meant for dbm, but I’m glad you’re not leaping to conclusions. I disagree about what can be inferred from what they read. I’ve read both of those for many years (not daily) and I’m still a conservative Republican. I’m sure most intelligent conservative Republicans can and do the same. Republicans aren’t weak minded.
