Trump's business organization was convicted of 17 felonies. His CFO is a convicted felon. His personal lawyer, GC and "fixer" is a convicted felon. Trump's "university" was shut down because he was ripping off students. His charitable foundation was shut down because he was stealing from it. Yet somehow we're supposed to believe Trump is clean, and that the reason he's been indicted in NY is because Biden planted a DOJ official in the Manhattan DA's office to concoct charges against Trump. Hilarious!

it's politics by way of the courts. people do things wrong all of the time that prosecutors don't elect to pursue. Soros' prosecutors dump thousands and thousands of cases per year where there are actual victims

This is the part I don’t get. The argument is that the election WOULD HAVE turned out differently had Trump not paid off Daniels, if i understand it correctly. IE, the public would have known about the affair and may have voted differently.
Therefore, its election fraud.
But how can that be proven? That’s like proving the existence of something that doesn’t exist. There’s no way to PROVE beyond a shadow of a doubt that the election would have turned out differently.

No one can say that it would have made a difference. But that's not the point. The point they hope to make is that the Trump campaign believed it would make a difference and they violated campaign finance laws to keep the affair from going public, based on that belief. They know that acknowledging that would be tantamount to breaking the law, hence the claim it was to "protect" Melania.
Trump also said he will repeal and replace Obamacare and build a big beautiful wall from San Diego to Brownsville and make Mexico pay for it.
Trump lies and owes it to the country to take the witness stand in one of his many cases -- I don't care which. It will do the country good to see that old lying sack of shit get up there and make a fool of himself.

Do you know whether the prosecutor must prove that (1) Trump's only motive to falsify the documents was to influence the election or (2) even if Trump claims he had several other motives to falsify the documents one of these motives was definitely to influence the election?

I've been arguing this the whole time. How in the hell are Trump's lawyers supposed to prepare a defense if they don't even know what law he's accused of breaking? Completely unconstitutional and this hoax should've been thrown out from the jump.
