My wife uses Instacart all the time. She gives great tips. I figured if Bloom needs extra money to pay bills, Instacart might be an additional option.
I guess I'm probably an enigma, but I do doordash not because i need the extra money, but because it gets me out of the house and gives me alone time.
I've talked to several who do the same. Sure, money is good, but there are other reasons as well.
The oil industry has righted itself from a decade ago. Debt was 386B at that time. Now it's 178B. I don't believe we are beholden to the production whims of the Saudis. But if we are, that is only more of a reason for the US to work towards oil dominance, not just be satisfied with oil independence.
Follow him and ask this. He answers a lot of people's questions and comments. Again he is not partisan. Just a guy who has worked in that field at a high level for decades.

And then he points to a reduction to 31M , during the pandemic, but prices FELL, not rise, with this cut in supply. Wonder why? But then points to Opec increasing production to 34M during the economic recovery from covid (shocking!).
Then he blames Trump for a 2 year deal to lower Opec production. Not sure why that was a bad thing. The pandemic was on, and demand was plunging and there was an oil crisis. Many praised Trump for the deal to avert an oil industry disaster.

I can respect that position. But they need to be consistent. Trump is pro-choice. He thinks the choice should be made by state legislators, not the woman and her doctor. If Trump was truly pro-life, he'd be advocating for a national ban. (See Mike Pence.)
For me it's fomenting a riotous assault on the seat of government in an attempt to thwart the will of the people.
Kinda the same here with my car parts gig. Sure, the money helps, but it isn't much and wouldn't have been necessary. I just needed to find something to do after retiring, and this has turned out better than I had even imagined it would. I considered getting involved with the CASA program, but went with the no stress, wage paying job instead. Still may look at CASA if/when the parts gig gets to be more than I can handle.
What's not consistent? The woman had the choice to have sex or not have sex. Nobody's choice was taken away.

A buddy's wife did that for a few years. It was incredibly stressful for her as she internalized everything. Takes a special kind of person to be able to do that for very long. I don't think I could.
I paid $2.80 per gallon for gas in OK two months ago. That pipeline would not have made this better for consumers.
I drive a company car. This isn't a sub job. I'm an employee. I make $12.45/hr. I bring home around $15K per year. With my SS and her SS that makes me cash flow even (barely). Haven't touched any savings or investments since I retired. Checking account balance is slightly lower than it was four years ago, but it's still healthy. SWMBO's trip is going to hit it pretty good, but nothing that will hurt. She financed a bunch of it with miles/points from the one credit card we use for all our regular purchases (which is always paid in full every month). Her flight cost us $10.99. That is not a typo. She also used a bunch on hotel stays.

I'm under no illusion about what would be involved, and in fact took that into consideration when I was thinking about it. Took the stress free paying gig instead.

You can make money otherwise people wouldn’t do it. All auto expenses are tax deductible.

So, you're saying (1) the woman should tell her pregnant body to call timeout and not develop the pregnancy any further (2) while she hires an attorney and also hires an expert witness/ doctor and (3) then files a petition in some court that can't/won't even schedule a hearing for several weeks because of court overcrowding and (4) doesn't rule on her petition for a week or two after that and then (5) the local government (say, Greg Abbott) decides to intervene and file an appeal which can take several weeks to resolve, (6) all of which must be concluded by some arbitrary number of weeks set as a deadline for terminations by a right-wing legislature only for the purpose of falsely acting righteous to get reelected.
You really couldn't sniff it like some of the rubber cement, though.

I’ve worked with enough people to tell you many have no clue.
The year the casino at Evansville opened I had a new client come in from Terre Haute. She had retired from Crane. The first time she went she won over $50,000 in slots. Of course she was hooked and continued going back. She had a stack of W-2Gs totaling over $150,000 that first year. It’s been too long to remember so my numbers aren’t exact. Anyway she thought she owed a bunch of taxes. She didn’t have her Win/Loss statement so we called the casino and obtained it. The Win/Loss statement showed net losses $90,000. She said great I only owe taxes on $60,000. I said no you lost $240,000. On the federal you can only deduct up to your winnings as itemized deduction and you owe state taxes on all $150,000. She continued over the years winning and net losses ate up all her retirement income each year. Eventually she lost her house and moved in with her elderly mom. She did finally stop going to casino.
This is extreme story but many folks have no idea what they’re making. I am guessing uber and others aren’t generating big profits when taking into account depreciation on their auto and all costs of operating (gas, repairs, insurance and license).
Since I’ve never worked with anyone doing it, I could be wrong and they’re making big bucks.
Cruz is a vastly improved politician since 2016 and that beard does a good job covering his oily, weak chinned face.
We haven’t seen the end of him running for President I would guess.

I'm guessing the majority don't make much money after accounting for the excess wear and tear on their vehicle. My son doordashed for 2 months and was breaking even after we plugged the allowance for mileage into the equation. I'm not convinced he kept track of all of it either.
