Im pretty sure in the 80s. He said his three favorite things in Bloomington were the Lily Library, the school of music, and Nicks. Also said he thought the woman running Nicks was “dreadful”. Haha
I always loved Quadrophenia, though I haven't listened to it in years. Who By Numbers was underappreciated, though it was more like a Townshend solo album than a Who album. Except for Squeezebox. That was just shit.
A few weeks ago I took my daughter to see Tame Impala, so I've been listening to their stuff on and off. It was a great show. They didn't play this cover, but I'm kind of digging it.
Tame Impala is just so good. I like all their stuff, but in particular their earlier stuff is outstanding. I hear they’re going to tour for Lonerism soon, so Ill be sure to catch them then.
I saw them in 2013 at the 9:30 Club in DC. What a great, great show that was. They closed with a long jam version of Half Full Glass of Wine. Here's part of that:
