Great song … yutes …. Just different enough to show some soul
As far as performances of Sting covers go, this one is pretty incredible...
So Sun was the show in Columbus that I'd normally be camped in the Pit for. I had to cancel after my heart issues flared up, first ESB tour I've missed in 20+ yrs...
@cosmickid, I was sitting at home in Easter afternoon and my buddy that lives in Phoenix texts me to ask if I had any plans for the evening. It was his way of reminding me that I don’t want to miss the E Street Band on this tour. I got on Ticketmaster and $500 and an hour later I was on my way to Chase Center.
They opened with Light of Day, above. The show had a strong vibe of finality to it, with hints of being their last tour. Great show, though.
That’s incredible. I’ve never heard that song sung that way. I agree with Simon.

She appears to be a ready made Broadway star.
It’s crazy how simple Cowell’s shows are, and yet how much emotion they can generate. I think all of us can relate to the desire to have that one moment where you’re judged on something you truly care about and hearing “you’re great.” That you get that judgment with a roaring crowd in the background just amplifies it that much more.
If you’re lucky enough to have one.We all recall our first standing O.
Does spanking the monkey in the shower count? We all recall our first standing O.
Happy Cinco de Mayo. Some faves with a Mexican theme...
Haven't heard this in quite a while. I was 13 and I'm not even sure I understood the reference to "Sky Pilot". I did understand it was an anti-war theme...
I agree that's the best one. I was just going through this thread wondering if I had already posted that, so far, no ... but you did. NTTAWWT. Such an underrated song writer ..@T.M.P.
There are lots of good versions of that, and this isn't the best, but I'm partial to it. One of the traditions Goodman got into was each year, he'd be the Easter Sunday guest on Vin Scelsa's morning show in New York. No one was listening. Too much stuff going on. But he did some great performances.
I've been repeating myself a lot in this thread, apparently. Next post is #1600, so I guess that will happen.I agree that's the best one. I was just going through this thread wondering if I had already posted that, so far, no ... but you did. NTTAWWT. Such an underrated song writer ..
