Dammit Goat. It's hard not to post shit here when I'm listening to headphones all day staring at a spreadsheet.

Also, this is great with headphones on.

Oh, but there's people that do that shit. Got one guy with a full on gamer headset....on camera...every time.
Hahaha. I have a lawyer friend who recently died who wore headphones all day like air traffic control. He'd point to them like he was on a call but you could see the phone part wasn't lit.

Hey, there are still tickets to the REO, Styx, and Loverboy concert up at Ruoff (Deer Creek) tonight (I know...hard to believe). I'll save you a lawn seat.
Last time I went to Deer Creek was Buffet in 2001. It was originally scheduled around Sept 11, and was rescheduled after the tragedy. I think it ended up being in November, and was the coldest concert I ever attended. I saw Springsteen in a freezing rain at Shea in Oct 2004, but I think the Buffet show was even colder...

I imagine REO will play mainly 80's Hi-Infidelity hits, with some Golden Country/Riding The Storm Out era thrown in. Wonder if this will fit? Definitely a guilty pleasure...

Unsustainable. Mustaine was (at least at that time) a Grade A POS. I can see why they dumped him.

I like Hammett.

Also, my namesake effing blows. He's a terrible drummer and person.
Mustaine is consistent. His 1990 lineup was great. I loved megadeth. Lars was never a good drummer but he drove that Metallica bus. Stinky European kid.

Hammett is kind of a hack. Nice guy though.

Saw Sly and Family as a freshman at IU. Sat in the balcony at AH, and per SOP they were late taking the stage...
I was at that show. I sat on the floor on folding chairs. High school buddy was on the student board, and we scored 12th row seats. Great show.

I love this because the "video" is like a time capsule into slave days.

correct .. and a horrible drunk that ruins every live show he's ever played. There's nothing worse than a drunk drummer ..

For you then:

BTW, Live at the Isle of Wight is The Who's best live album.

Remember when we only had 3 or 4 tv channels and the Smothers Brothers actually presented relevant musical guests? Judy Collins performing "Someday Soon", The Beatles doing "Let It Be", and this 1967 performance of My Generation...

Tommy is his usual goofy self, although he did seem to have good taste. But what made this appearance notable, is that unbeknownst to everyone else (esp Pete) a disgruntled stage hand had set Moonie's kick drum with 3x the amount of explosive they normally used in the days when they blew everything up.

Pete was unaware and was so close that the explosion shattered his ear drum. I saw an old Letterman where he basically said that all of the deafness issues he's had over the years date back to that night...
