We've had liberal judges appointed to the court by Republican Presidents...Souter and Stevens come to mind. Every single swing justice in my lifetime...O'Connor, Kennedy, Roberts, ACB...was appointed by a Republican. How many conservative or swing justices were put on the court by a Democrat in the past 50 years? I'll wait.
