I'd honestly be afraid of killing someone if I got into a fight and I've never looked for one either. I always joked that I was a trained killer (in the Navy), but I do my killing from a distance (missiles). Now I won't even be doing that.And I don't want to be sued.

It's interesting because I wouldn't say what you said about Melania either. I suspect there are other things about Trump that she liked when they first dated and married. It's not a shock that wives occasionally fall out of like with their husbands though and that may have happened with the Trumps. Regardless, if they are happy in their arrangement, more power to them.
Re: patronage politics - I think it is naive to think that politicians are going to behave differently than people do in all other aspects of the world. Putting people you know and trust into positions of need that you have is among the most common of psychological phenomenon. Where problems arise is when the person does a crap job. Has anyone suggested that Harris didn't do a good job in the roles she was appointed to? Most indications that I've seen are that Harris has been effective and popular in the roles she's undertaken.
I'm no Harris fan boy. I'm generally jaded about politics. I'm probably more jaded though about the political process we as a general public are showing that we deserve.
