What I was saying is Purdue typically doesn't lose to lesser seeds. And they have lost to a lot of teams that ended up in the final 4. No narrative. Just facts. North Texas was not the norm under Painter.

Purdue is a damn good basketball team this year. I think Matt Painter is an outstanding coach. I actually enjoy watching Purdue play because I like the way they play the game. Still, I'll root for them to lose every single game because 90% of the Purdue fans I encounter on this board or anywhere else are insecure douchebags more concerned with IU than their own team - as evidenced by your and your pals' constant presence here. The point is, If you feel compelled to be here scouring threads for negative comments about your team, you should expect to be ridiculed.

Kelvin Sampson is a hell of a basketball coach - anybody with a brain can see that. However, his total disregard for the concept of student-athlete makes him unfit to be coaching in the college game. Had he stayed at IU there were equal chances we would have at least one additional national championship and that we would have been given the death penalty by the NCAA. What's more certain is that we would have exactly the same number of basketball players with degrees that we had when he arrived. Houston is a great fit for him as that place has never given two shits about academics. But since the NCAA has completely capitulated on that notion as well, maybe we should have just done what Kansas and North Carolina did and give the NCAA the finger. Of course, Myles Brand would have dropped the wrecking ball on us just for his personal amusement.BTW who coaches Houston? Anyone IU can look at post Woodson?

You would likely be looking at a 15-year run of regularly getting your asses kicked instead of a 6-year run of dominating IU. And Painter would likely be coaching somewhere else as well by now since beating IU is the one and only thing that is really necessary to create job security in W. Laffy.
