I am not saying they are a lock. And I am not comparing them to Gonzaga. Frankly, I don't understand the reference? Baylor was the best team in basketball last year and proved it in the tourney. It's tough to win 6 in a row. But as another poster stated, it's a bit easier as a 1 as it's more like 5 games if not 4. But nonetheless, Purdue has a very strong roster and play in a tough conference. Unlike the Zags.
Na. It was moreso a comment about the implied Purdue always loses in the first round of the tourney.
Is that the same insiders that told you that Mason Gillis was leaving Purdue at the end of last season?
No one has said he's leaving. They have said he has the NBA's eyes and it isn't a guarantee he is back.

No one on there has said he's leaving... I've been a paying member for 15 years. Zachary will be back.. Tre is a huge loss. Caleb slides into those minutes. TKR slides into the minutes Caleb plays at the four (with Mason). Newman replaces Jaden and Fletcher Loyer is ready made to handle the shooting role. IT stays at the one... Ethan Morton gets minutes at multiple positions. We still haven't talked about Brian Waddell... a kid who will be a fantastic wing for Purdue for four years. Assuming Edey comes back, we're a top 15 team (at worst) next year.

If he leaves next year, Purdue will take a large step back, but still could push for a double bye in the big ten tourney.

I literally had your quote listed within my response so the real question is why can't you understand your own reference? Now you are brining up last season? So strange. Gonzaga is #1 right now, hence the obvious reference and debunking of your statement. Purdue certainly is playing, not good, but great. Its definitely a long season but making obnoxious comments like that will get called out every time.

Do you intentionally look for arguments / confrontation or does it just come naturally? That said, I simply was trying to say that PU is good on their own. Not comparing to anyone and in terms of Gonzaga, I was thinking of last years team, not this years. Considering they are #1 seed almost every year and have made what, one final, and the FF only twice, I discount Zags. But again, I am not trying to compare them is my point. You apparently are. My point is simple. I think right now Purdue is the best team in the country. Does that make sense to you?
Don't cry because I called you out on your post that made no sense. You said its tough to see any stronger team and I pointed out its actually quite easy to find one. Gonzaga was in the title game, remember that? They beat UCLA in the FF, who, btw is also a better team than PU right now as they beat Villanova by more points than PU did. Gonzaga also brought in the 7 foot #1 recruit in the nation. You can erroneously think Purdue is the best team but that phrase is COMPLETELY different than what you stated. You just get upset because you got called out.
You mean the UCLA team that had to go 2 overtimes in order to beat Villanova on there homecourt?
The fact that Purdue is in that comparison says plenty. Any reasonable basketball fan who is watching Purdue play can see that this team is legit. Its a long season, but they are beating tournament teams.
I don't get upset about anything people of whom I have never met write me on a message board. Ever. Upset? Ha. Cry? Funny. My emotional stability, priorities and value systems do not allow for that to happen. But you be you buddy.
