The First Amendment only limits government actors. (I'm surprised you didn't know that). Facebook and Twitter aren't government actors. They can do pretty much whatever they want. The only caveat is they can't allow unlawful speech (e.g. speech that incites violence) on their platforms.
Sadly, Facebook and Twitter do promote harmful speech and dangerous misinformation. They're major contributors to the dumbing down of America.
