Polls - - a week out

Weren’t they mostly peaceful? That’s what the article said. I honestly don’t recall any violence and that article made it sound pretty rare so why would I? J6 was violent, memorable and embarrassing - especially for all Republicans.
It's incredible, isn't it? These folks have had their minds twisted so much that they are convinced that the other party is destined to commit political violence, despite the fact that it is actually their party with the recent history of actually doing just that.

I find it very embarrassing.

Are you referring to me? Because I’ve been very clear about what I expect. I expect unrest regardless of who wins.

Aloha said there were no riots after the 2016 election. I pointed out he was wrong.

There weren't any major riots and nothing close to the violence of J6. I was right.

I mean, that’s a matter of opinion, I guess.

There were riots in multiple cities in 2016, as noted in the article.

You said you didn’t remember any from 2016. You were wrong.
No. I was right that I didn’t remember any because I didn’t. I remembered a few protests. The article basically confirmed there were scattered protests and even fewer that resulted in anything that could qualify as a riot. Certainly isn’t anything described that’s even close to the violence of J6. You also can’t forget about the testimony of many of the 1000+ convicts that they followed Trump’s suggestion (order) to “stop the steal.” It was the intent of the riot for many. That’s very serious, right?

It’s always puzzled me that the punishment is so much more severe for trespassing on Federal property vs. private property. The only difference between the two that I can surmise is that I pay for the Federal property.

But that’s the Federal government in a nutshell. They’re meant to work for us but in reality feel they’re above reproach.

Of course J6 was serious. I’ve never said otherwise.

But a riot is a riot.

If the J6 riots were serious, then I assume you agree that the 2016 riots were as well.

Correct?

I’m against all riots. Yes, riots are serious with varying degrees of seriousness. I don’t even like protests, by the way. However, the thing I’m pointing out is that you provided no evidence that any 2016 riot approached the seriousness of J6. I doubt I’m the only one that doesn’t even remember them and many would if they were anything like J6 which we watched for hours. In fact, I just asked my wife if she remembered riots after Trump won in 2016. She said, “no, were there?” 😄

You CAN fool some of the people all of the time!

Sitting here watching the Hoosiers at MSU at the closest sports bar to my hotel in Wentzville. It's called Hot Shots and I cannot recommend the servers highly enough.

Can't wait to convince the moms and dads to bring the 14 years olds over here tonight for dinner.
How ‘bout them Hoosiers! About to be 9-0 for first time in history.

Stupid. I don’t have to like them to allow them.
Scenario: Democrats sweep and blow up the filibuster. First order of business is enshrining abortion rights nationally through birth, as well as passing national legislation that does away with all gender distinctions in college athletics.

Pro-lifers and women’s rights advocates march peacefully in the streets.

Aloha doesn’t like. Boy oh boy he sure doesn’t like it. But he will allow it. For now.

Double down on stupid. WTF is wrong with you?

So mostly peaceful protests, which is what I remember, and some small scale rioting caused by anarchists, which I don’t even recall. Not very impressive I guess. J6 certainly was impressive and embarrassing.
Sad, you missed the whole “summer of love”. Go back and watch a police station being burned and looted.

I do know if Trump wins, the rioting, looting and burning Democrats will come out in force.
Democrats don't loot, burn or riot because a vote doesn't go their way.

You're just making shit up.

It was political violence.
We were talking about violence in response to an election. Can you suddenly not read any longer?

EDIT: Not only that, the original topic was broached by a poster who happens TO BE YOU. And you can't stay on topic? On your own point? You have to deflect and shift away from the point THAT YOU YOURSELF PUT ON THE TABLE?

What the f*ck is wrong with you?

Those weren’t election related protests, which is the subject. Stoll, you know for a fact that I didn’t approve of the BLM riots or like them any more than you did.

Is it worth parsing? You don’t think the blm segment of Dems and the woke purple haired lunatics wouldn’t riot in a second. They did over gov action fomented by a false narrative. For weeks. The salient bit is that it’s all one big dance. Crazy Americans abound. The difference in the election arena is trump, not the voters

If a person has darker skin, has tattoos, or wears black clothes, they automatically consider them a member of the democratic party. It's a form of abject stupidity combined with passive bigotry ....

I can't wait til these weirdos go back to being social pariahs ..

Lmao our resident drug addict is following teens without a kid playing is calling others social pariahs. Physician heal thyself

And please. You’re the least informed poster on the board. You have no idea how anything works. Just woke feelz gobbled up whatever cells still function

It doesn't matter. The topic was violence in response to an election loss, and Stoll was the one who set the topic. And now he wants to pretend it's about something else. Maybe it should be about something else, but the guy who set the topic doesn't get to pretend he didn't do it.

Harris has lied about every issue there is. Walz my god. From his military record to his dui to Tia Sq when he was in Nebraska. He lies so much you have to wonder if he’s stable. So who knows if these two will claim fraud. But I don’t believe that segment of the left after the summer of love has a leg to stand on vs maga.

It’s all one big shitty dance. We’re circling the drain with these reps. On both sides

Alllllllllll that said I think 28 will be better
