I don't think most here really want a kid to transfer but by the same token I don't think anybody here wants a kid to be here if the kid doesn't want to be. In a perfect world they would come here, buy in, fit in, improve and produce. Going away for school can be a large adjustment for the average college student, doing so as a D1 scholarship athlete is exponentially more difficult. I wish them well, and time to move forward.

Gotcha, only IU fanboys can have an objective opinion. It isn't passive aggressive to say Archie is still an unknown and while it's early there haven't been any promising signs. Archie's resume is a couple good years at a mid major, and what he has done in two years at IU. Next year is starting to look like year 1 of a rebuild with the players who won't be on the team next year. Trayce may be good enough to pull them above last year though. Archie is recruiting well, and maybe he will be the next RMK, but people who are certain of it are really just guessing and hoping.

Allen on the other hand seems to be improving his team every year. There is the win loss record and there is the eye test. IU football passes the eye test on improvement over the last couple years.

But you've said that all IU needs is a big name coach and the program could be turned around in a season. You also said the replacing of Miller was already in the works. After all, IU has tons of money to throw at a buyout and new coach as you like to point out. I suppose it's possible you're just completely full of s#!t.

I've said this a lot. You can't just fire a coach if you don't have a slam dunk hire waiting in the wings. When we fired Crean I mentioned how I didn't know much about Miller. This means he is not a slam dunk hire. Now he could end up being very solid. It's going to take time though. His hire was not a hire which puts us back on the map in one season. What I would like to see is a team full of Archie's players that he recruited. He had to re recruit some of Crean's players and it has not worked out so well. Let's see what he brings to the team.

If things like this were true, then the blue blood's recruits would never come to that school. Christ, dook had at least two 5 stars (both sf) commit last year. Are they afraid of the competition? NO
