I thought he might be a valuable junior. There wasn’t an issue with effort when he was playing, was there?
Yeah because every three star player should play as freshman. It kills me how everyone thinks they should see the court early, even when they aren’t high level recruits. Not very surprising as he hardly played and I never really understood taking him. I expect one more freshman transfer.
I didn't want to say it but I thought he might transfer. I'm doubtful that Smith will.
Per some of you all we should take are three stays so who the heck would play the minutes? The kid obviously was not ready to play at this level and did not want to sit on the bench another year. Who could blame him.Yeah because every three star player should play as freshman. It kills me how everyone thinks they should see the court early, even when they aren’t high level recruits.
You assume he would be fine sitting on the bench for two years. Most kids do not want to do that.I did not see this coming. Would've like to seen his growth by junior year. Best of luck,Jake. Is Smith next or is CAM giving him a pass?
We don't know why his name is in there. It is similar to looking for a new job. Once you start seriously looking you have one foot out the door.Is he transferrring, or has he just put his name in the portal to see what’s out there?
Sorry to see him go. He looked like he had a lot of potential and he was one player who always seemed to bring effort when in the game and enthusiasm when he was on the bench.
This looks really bad as he's an Archie recruit. I hope I'm wrong but our program appears to be a total dumpster fire.

An undersized freshman, who presently lacks the skills and/or size to play anything more than mop-up minutes at any position, likely left due to little playing time....
Hmmmm, sure....all Archie's fault. Clueless.
This was already known when he committed. Why did Archie take him to begin with?
How do you know that's the reason he's transferring?Yeah because every three star player should play as freshman. It kills me how everyone thinks they should see the court early, even when they aren’t high level recruits.
Why in the world would you want somebody back who is not 100% committed? Just curious? The whole rule seems kind of dumb. So now every spring coaches will just have to sit back and wait and see if a player decides to leave if he gets a better offer?I compare a kid entering his name in the transfer portal to a regular joe applying for a different job. It doesn’t mean he’s not able to do his current job — it’s simply not a good fit. The good news for Jake is that a player can enter his name in the portal, but ultimately decide to stay with his current school. It’ll be interesting to see what happens.

True, but he had no idea what the speed of the game was in the big league, imho. Liked the effort and he will do fine with more maturing at a mid major. Another Crean experimental reach because Crean's pipeline was thin...Is he transferrring, or has he just put his name in the portal to see what’s out there?

Forrester is leaving. I see no way that Archie is going to wait on Forrester to decide if he is coming back to IU or leaving. Archie is going to find a player that fits and can contribute. He gone!
This was already known when he committed. Why did Archie take him to begin with?
I agree. He should have taken Henry then. This is a train wreck.
Archie still had the offer on the table to AHenry after Anderson and Hunter's same day commits. Henry elected to go to M$U at that time.
He was a Miller recruit, not a Crean one.True, but he had no idea what the speed of the game was in the big league, imho. Liked the effort and he will do fine with more maturing at a mid major. Another Crean experimental reach because Crean's pipeline was thin...
I heard they were taking the first one to commit. I thought I read on here, posters claiming they stopped recruiting Henry. Supposedly, his dad was mad about it?
not true, as Archie still wanted AHenry. I could see AH and his father's concern, as Hunter and Anderson both played AH's position.
