On this day: Gettysburg reunion

I used to regularly post things that happened on this day, but I got away from it. Anyway, it turns out very little cool happened on 25 June, but that was the day in 1913 that the famous 50th anniversary of Gettysburg began, which Ken Burns made famous on PBS:

621,000 dead and 1,500,000 injured in a USA population of 33,000,000 is just staggering.
