Kanon Catchings

I sat by Dane Fife at a game this year and he laughed at Woody being IU's coach. Said he had no accountability and showed no leadership, was only out to do a money grab to retire on. Sad.

We had a bad loss, you have a bad program.
Bob Knight went to more FF's as a player than PU's entire history. A bad program keeps a coach who loses to 13, 15, and 16 seeds in a row because they can't do any better. A bad program overemphasises the regular season because they are comically inept at the national level.

Woody owns PU's ass.

don't want to waste anymore of my time arguing with an idiot who has Jimbo as his mojo. Enjoy your trailer park nite.

Without much effort.

if you want to put some money in a pot, I will bet you any amount on the 2 PU-IU games next year. Let me know, we will both put what is bet in now and winner can take at end of year. I will bet any amount you wish.

Be careful. You might lose your farm. Lots of money on this board.

Who got swept this year? If Edey leaves, PU will suck: they will likely suck, anyways

There is also this, but look at uconn and Purdue. Similar styles, totally different players in the system. So the question is, does uconn win the big ten in the current physical state? Do they finish top 4?
Honestly, I didn't care enough to really watch UConn play. You say their style is similar to Purdue's but I'm not so sure about that. Maybe they are running some of the same sets, but they player are different types. IMHO their style is not the same. UConn struggled with the physicality of the Big East. So I would say, no they don't win the B1G either. Top 4, maybe??? That tells you pretty much about them and what I stated earlier. Even Hurley himself said it during the season. "The way the game is played in the non conference and the NCAA Tournament is much different than the way we play in league play," Hurley noted. "Games are a lot more physical (in the Big East). We're proving to be better suited for maybe those other types of games that are played a little bit differently. That makes me feel better about March."

Another case in point about the B1G needing to fix the style of play through officiating is the lack of premier NBA caliber talent. Especially wings. If you look at this year's Top 50 NBA players, you will maybe find 1 player from the B1G... and he is going to be around 50th. Not surprisingly, from the on;y team that has won a Natty this century. Again, the conference considers itself a premier league, but it just is not turning out to be the case. And why would they want to go to a conference where the mantra is, "this is the Big Ten," when discussing the way games are called.

Ok cool. I don't chant iu sucks, because I don't really care tbh. Glad they did away with the organized chants. Glad you were able to witness them win a banner. I think it would be neat to see someone in the state of Indiana win the tourney. Unfortunately, no one under the age of 36 has seen it. Pretty pathetic basketball all around. Tbh, it's pathetic that 3/4 the major teams have struggled to stay relevant.
They still do the chant. All the time. It’s fantastic that IU lives in Purdue’s head, rent free, into perpetuity.
As for why it’s been so long, none of that will change either here in Indiana or in the B1G as a whole, until the way games are officiated changes. It will allow teams to compete better in the tourney and, more importantly, it’ll be a more attractive playing style to highly ranked and talented players who don’t want to get mugged night in and night out.
you have lots of space reserved in last 35 years.
35 years huh? When was Purdue last playing in a NC game? Do you even know when that was? Were you alive? IU played in one since their last title. In the 2000s.
On the subject of titles, when was Purdue’s last title? When were the vast majority of the B1G conference wins attained? Prior to Pearl Harbor?
Maybe you should just leave the “it’s been a long time” $hit alone.
