IUFB. Hosed for the next 5 years. Change my mind.

I have been an unrepentant IUFB fan since I was a child. Unwavering in my support and that hasn't changed. I'll root for my Hoosiers come thick or thin...and yes...loads of thin in my 40 plus years of fandom.

I'm a huge, rose-colored glasses, "we'll get'em next year," yeah...rah...team dude...as it relates to IUFB. I will be on the kids' side as long as I live (my will stipulates that I'm cremated and part of my ashes posited at the Rock...so that I may be there when we go to the Rose Bowl. Or beyond. Not a joke.)

I think between our admin, culture, history...yada, yada, yada...is such that there's really no hope that things turn around in the short or near term.
I'm going to have to wait at least 5 years until I feel like my younger self...as it relates to optimism for this program.
Buck up matey, we just hired one of the Best Offense Line Coaches the Country... Things are looking up in a Big Ten Way!!!🏈,

Good Lineman will want to play here and Good QB's, and RB's will want to play here as will WR's (because of the QB's)...

Maybe you should ask that powerhouse Rutgers how legit
IU BB is.
It was only a matter of time for IU basketball. The same issues that have plagued it in the days of Little Arch, can’t shoot worth a hoot. I have no idea why fans think that program i some kind of salvation for the university. Complete hype.

The danger here is holding on to 2020 thinking it presents significant value in the overall resume for any coach. I would argue it’s net neutral when teams didn’t even play a full season. Then you have to ask does the current coach of whatever team provide a net positive, neutral, or negative value on the overall game results. You could argue the vast majority of B1G coaches are net neutral with arguably just a handful as a net positive. Allen is a net negative and if you believe that he needs to be fired immediately. There is always an up-and-comer who could be the next 5-10 year guy. It doesn’t need to be rocket science. Everything should always be on the table when a B1G team can’t qualify for a bowl game after multiple season with the same coach. Allen is done. It’s just a matter of how long the string gets played out.
The irony here is that the best season in 50 years had zero box office receipts. And then Tom Allen lays two turds and still has a 25 million dollar buyout. He's done pretty well for himself especially considering that he didn't even have to interview to get the job.

The only thing you're wrong about is how long we're hosed. Your 5 year estimate is much to short. In fact we are likely hosed for all of eternity. 1400 losses here we come!

I am taking serious comfort in that move...
