IU basketball is alive and well

So,… Where will they hang their NC banner this year? Next to the other 5? The other side of SSAH? Those 5 banners do take up alot of room! There will always be room for more though!👍

Does anyone follow women's bball nationally? I'm just curious how good SC really is? I keep hearing they are on another level, and just wondered if anyone who watches thought we'd have a shot against them. I'm guessing they are just very athletic, which is a vulnerability with this team. The girl last night for OSU and the girl from MD (Diamond?) both were able to get to the basket pretty easily, although both times I thought Moren came up with a plan that limited them. I gotta try and catch an SC game or 2. I was excited to see the bracket projection had IU in a Greenville regional. If they are playing in a regional in Greenville, I'll be there!

PS, finally looked it up: Holy Cow! 6'7", 6'5", 6'4", 2 x 6'3", 2 x 6'2".... Yep, they are big!

They only thing that may be a problem for IU..
Is two athletic guards or a uber athletic wing..
A good draw ..And they could actually be in the F.F..

some D2 mens teams don't have that kind of height.

I thought they said last night, if IU girls get a 1 seed, first games would be in the Hall? Then does regional run thru Gville?

Believe so. First round games in Btown, and then that feeds into the Greenville regional I think. Seems like I remember in '87 our first round games were in Indy? Maybe Ws over Fairfield and Auburn... seems like I know someone who was there!

A final four run isn't out of the question. Basically no chance at beating South Carolina, no answer for their size and athleticism. Even UConn if they get a little more healthy, will be a tough ask. Seems like we could compete with just about anyone else though.

And has been mentioned, we should be hosting the first round in Bloomington. So a Sweet 16 should be likely. Just need to avoid UConn, Stanford, and South Carolina in our region, and we'll have a great shot at getting to a Final Four.

unfortunately we've had plenty of room for the last 35 years.

One of those movies I'm likely to sit through again if I catch it in the right mood. Vacation, Animal House, Jaws, Shawshank, Hoosiers, Christmas Story, Outlaw Josey Wales, Diehard, First Blood... I'm sure there are others.
all of them are favorites of mine.

Christmas Story- Deck the Harrs with Bars of Hol-rey...fa-ra-ra-ra-ra....

Most of your list same for me...I'd add Gladiator, Field of Dreams, then some gratuitous kids type movies like Goonies, Harry Potter movies, Lord of the Rings movies, Star Wars movies. I've wasted way too much time watching movies like this on TBS or TNT on random evenings.

also 'remote drop' movies for me.

And I'll watch Casino or Goodfellas for the fifty fifth times if I can.

Love Gladiator. Joaquin Phoenix is a strange dude but he was as good in that movie as Ledger was in Dark Knight.

i tried to watch lord of he rings. it takes that kid 3 movies and about 9 hours to get to that mountain. i'm 71. can we speed it up a little.

Was at the game last night, great environment, fun game and ladies put it all out on the court. Fans were very engaged and loud. Anyone not attended an IUWBB game is missing out.

As of last nights win, all the Women’s Bracketology (yes, there is such a thing) has IU as a #1 seed. ESPN has them the #2 overall, only behind SC. Hopefully if that holds, that can keep them from being in SC, UConn regions.

Yup I was there. In 81 men’s first round was at IU. We played St Joe and can’t remember who else. Thought we’d play Mark Aguirre and DePaul, but they got upset.

Not sure what okaying Depaul means? Depaul lost to St Joes hence the reason we played them. It was last yr they let mens teams play games on their home court at. IU had first round bye then IU Hammered Maryland, then UAB and St Joe at Bloomington and then LSU and UNC in Philly

They outrebounded a 17-4 Arkansas team 74-17, if that tells you anything.

We beat them in the fall of 2019 in a tournament in the Bahamas. We were the only team to beat them that year and SC was favored to win the NCAA before COVID cancelled everything.

I watched them play Stanford at Stanford this year, Stanford led the entire game but SC got it to OT and ended up winning. They are tough.

No chance against SC.
Yeah, that's the feeling I get. I'll hope. This team has some great attributes for a big upset: excellent leadership, well balanced, several 3 pt shooters, PG(s) with moxy who make FTs. I'm gonna try and watch SC though, but that seems to be the consensus of folks who know. Plus, if we get a 1 seed, we'd avoid them til at least the F4, and that would be a huge step for the program. Who knows, maybe they'll be on the other side of the bracket and their starters will all go out the night before the game and get high, miss curfew, or have an Asst who says they did (take your pick!) and they'll come into the game short-handed!

Sixteen Candles, Christmas Vacation, My Cousin Vinny...."Did you say utes?"

if you're looking for a good fantasy quest kind of movie, i suggest jason and the argonauts or clash of the titans. both outstanding.
