The Saudis have been propping up the Sunni government in Yemen for nearly a decade. I'm pretty sure many in the Saudi government view Yemen as a proxy war against Iran.
That should piss off the environmentalists. Just think of all that vegetable oil spilling into the ocean.

We need to make Iran pay for this stuff. Wouldn't happen without their backing or instigation. I'm back to thinking that we warn them that we'll strike militarily in one way or another unless they stop this. If they don't, we give them 20 minutes warning that we intend to destroy their naval forces - then do it. Most of it would be destroyed in port. The rest we would round up and destroy later. This is twice that someone has referenced Hamas being expelled from Qatar, but there's nothing in the news except a report in the J-Post about some Hamas leaders leaving Qatar and Beirut without warning. Do you know what this is referring to?
I had read that Qatar said they were under threat there and they couldn't protect them.

The U.S. military does not station their bases in residential areas. Hence the difference between U.S. and Hamas. Deliberate attacks on U.S. civilians would be unjustifiable just as deliberate attacks on Gazan Hamas sympathizers would be unjustifiable.
