Israel under attack from Hamas

Seriously, we're going to have to go in and blow up the Houthis. I just hope we squeeze something out of the Saudis in return for it.

I haven't been following, but wasn't Saudi recently involved in some of the Yemeni civil war issues? Why aren't they doing their job instead of spending billions on golf pros?

The Saudis have been propping up the Sunni government in Yemen for nearly a decade. I'm pretty sure many in the Saudi government view Yemen as a proxy war against Iran.

He's also a monarchist, apparently? Not sure how that works in post-Soviet Poland.

Basically seems like he hates a lot of people and things and yet, somehow he holds an office. He’s also an aggressive type.

In May 2023, Braun attacked the stage, smashing the microphone and speakers, at a lecture by historian Jan Grabowski at the German Historical Institute in Warsaw. The lecture was called off

the Houthis had the gall to run Ali Abdullah Saleh out of power, but he was Saudi backed, thus US backed. the Houthis are part of the "death to Jews, death to the US" rhetoric-aligned crowd but Saleh was too, which was confirmed when he joined forces with them after his ouster. then the Houthis killed him anyway, so the saudis are fighting a proxy war for a dead, anti-semetic, traitor's government. good times.

He'd feel right at home at an Ivy League school.

I believe this leaves 16 women left, the majority of them between 18-40 years old. Over/under 5, how many return alive?

I say under, Hamas has to hide what they did to them.

Continue the bombing until they are all dead. Qatar just expelled their leaders, I hope they are found by Israel and sent to their 72 goats in hell post haste.

We need to make Iran pay for this stuff. Wouldn't happen without their backing or instigation. I'm back to thinking that we warn them that we'll strike militarily in one way or another unless they stop this. If they don't, we give them 20 minutes warning that we intend to destroy their naval forces - then do it. Most of it would be destroyed in port. The rest we would round up and destroy later. Every single ship and boat.

I'm afraid you may be right. I also hope that they leaders expelled from Qatar get what's due them.

Why give them any warning?

This is twice that someone has referenced Hamas being expelled from Qatar, but there's nothing in the news except a report in the J-Post about some Hamas leaders leaving Qatar and Beirut without warning. Do you know what this is referring to?

I had read that Qatar said they were under threat there and they couldn't protect them.

No. I probably wrongly assumed it was accurate news.

Will never happen under this administration. The Obama / Biden soft on Iran policy is absolutely inexplicable and is the moving cause for the October 7 horrible savagery and subsequent bloodshed. Robert Malley,, their far left point-man on Iran, is now under investigation for being a spy. If we had a responsible and competent news business, I bet somebody would find a dark money connection involving Iran, Soros, left-wing US organizations, and even some Democrat campaigns.

Biden, Pelosi, The Squad, and the press were loud and clear with their condemnation of Trump killing Soleimani, yet that was probably the most effective foreign policy move regarding Iran in 20 years. Iran and surrogates were very quiet for the remainder of his term.

Now you think one side is taking direct payments from Iran? Aye aye aye, McCain would stop the town hall right now and call you a dumb hick. lol

Eh, I’d guess killing Soleimani and recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital ramped us up to 10/7 more than diplomatic engagement, tit-for-tat being what it is and all. Again, it’s like saying Bush2 caused 9/11. 🤦

I didn’t say direct payments.

If you have a better explanation for Obama and Biden’s inexplicable Iranian leniency and appeasement, put it out there. For now, I’m going with the language of all politics-- money, influence, and power. Biden might very well be a useful idiot in all of this.

Carry on.

whoops, you said "dark money" connection. almost as weird...

inexplicable?

Reagan engaged with Iran (illegally) despite Dem congress
Bush1 engaged
Clinton disengaged despite Rep congress
Bush2 engaged mightily until he didn't
Obama engaged
Trump disengaged
Biden engaged
ALL OF THE ABOVE sold or gave our ME allies all the advanced weapons systems and training they could ask for

I'd call that explicable. lol

also keep in mind Iran was a much more dangerous regional player 30 to 40 years ago, capable of a sustained land war. it's been lapped since then, mostly because of consistent US policy in the region. all the presidents above played their part in moving that along despite their political rhetoric targeted at plebs like us.

So collateral damage is justifiable. That means any attacks on US citizens for past war crimes are acceptable too?

In your simplistic, cartoonish view of the world, there are only the 'good guys' versus the 'bad guys'.

But you always seem to assume that you know who the good guys are.

It’s ironic that you see me as ignorant when you are deluded.
You just contradicted yourself in the first two ****ing sentences you complete moron.

The U.S. military does not station their bases in residential areas. Hence the difference between U.S. and Hamas. Deliberate attacks on U.S. civilians would be unjustifiable just as deliberate attacks on Gazan Hamas sympathizers would be unjustifiable.

Except Hamas has made it impossible for Israel to wage war without killing civilians. But you don’t blame Hamas.

Because you’re ****ing evil.

It would seem to me that the US needs to stop the attacks on shipping … and U.S. Naval asserts … at the source
… Orient overseas, in Hong Kong, may have been told to stop shipping to Eilat.

The Houthi anti-shipping attack campaign continues to achieve one of its desired effects of disrupting maritime traffic headed to Israel. Hong Kong-based shipping company Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) announced on December 17 that it would immediately stop shipping goods to and from Israel.[77] The company cited “operational issues” for the policy.[78] OOCL is the first global shipping company that CTP-ISW has observed to specifically halt operations to Israel since the Houthis began their campaign against international shipping around the Bab al Mandeb in November.[79] Global shipping giants, such as Mediterranean Shipping Company, CMA CGM, Maersk, and Hapag-Lloyd, previously announced that they would pause operations around the Red Sea but did not specify how it would affect their services to Israel.[80] Houthi spokesperson Mohammed Abdulsalam commended OOCL’s decision to stop sending ships to Israeli ports and falsely asserted that the Houthis are only attacking ships linked to Israel on December 17.[81] Several of the ships that the Houthis have attacked in recent days were en route to destinations outside of Israel, such as Saudi Arabia.
