Pakistan and Iran escalate until India decides now is the time to take advantage of Pakistan's distraction in Kashmir. China is already engaged in a low-level war with India over competing claims in the mountains, so they decide they can't keep Indian aggression stand.
That's a huge stretch, imo. Iran and Pakistan won't get into a land war. They may lob some missiles and air strikes, but they won't fight on land unless they do it in Afghanistan. That ain't gonna happen.
Pakistan is not pulling assets out of Kashmir to fight Iran.
On the list of possibilities, a China/India war is pretty low, considering China's interest in Taiwan. They don't need another front to worry about.

Khaled Mashal (sp?) has video interviews where he indicates that the 2 state solution is only the first step. They are just playing a game for the international community. There intention is, was, and will always be "from the river to the sea".
The problem we have is that too many people in the West think that everyone else in the world reasons in the same manner we do. They don't. They know how we tick and we don't tend to know how they do. Pakistan knows how they tick. Notice what they did after Iran lobbed missiles into their country?
Do with that what you will. I think it leads to bloodthirsty appearing solutions. And they are, at least in the here and now. However, I also think it leads to permanent solutions that decrease loss of lives down the line. The Palestinians are NEVER getting from the river to the sea. How to go about convincing them of that is the question.
