I'm not usually the one that does this, but I wanted to get the conversation started about tonight's game. Big game for the bubble situation. I don't think we're out of it if we lose, but probably in the field pretty solid if we can pull out a win. Oregon has been playing well lately, so have the Hoosiers. I'm feeling a let down game by IU tonight. Hope I'm wrong.

Definitely feels like a game we'd normally get thumped. Maybe not with our new lineup that's been playing so well? Hope not, obviously. A win would be huge.

Have not been impressed when I've seen Oregon play. The king cooks to a 6 point win.

I kinda like IU to cover.
Me too. It might slip away late, but this doesn't seem like a team that will will fold (again). The energy level is more sustainable when you bring a quality big and a confident Rice off the bench. And MR seems to have started to play with more purpose and less complaining.

North, I haven't seen Oregon play all year, who stylistically wise would you compare them to in the BIG

3 weeks ago, I was neither hopeful, nor confident re this matchup. While still not confident, I’m at least hopeful, which is a compliment to this team’s resolve.
After the blowouts incurred at the hands of Iowa and Illinois over a month ago, if they can even make this a close game, much less a win, vs a solid team currently on a roll, will be quite the litmus test.

that's not good, but maybe that game was a fluke
The good part is like Illinois, Oregon seems to be nearly as inconsistent as IU can be. So maybe we catch them on a crappy night, for whatever reason!

The bad part, they have a couple guards that can get red hot, real quick...Shelstead is one of the better overall guards in the conference. And they have a big that's pretty good and comfortable shooting and passing away from the basket. He'll pull Ballo and Reneau out away from the paint...and our rebounding could suffer because of it. That's the main reason we got blitzed how we did against Illinois...that and their big foreign frosh going off from the 3.

they kind of sound like Wisconsin

Not as consistent defensively as Wisconsin normally is, though still pretty good on that end. They don't take as many 3's, overall, as Wisky normally does...

If we don't guard Shelstead, their other little guard, and Bittle well...they could run us out of the gym...similar to what Illinois, Wisky, and Iowa did to us.

I think with our new lineup, we're better suited to not fully allow that to happen...at least not as overwhelmingly as those other games happened. But beating them on that stupid looking court, would be quite an accomplishment. Outside the win at MSU, it would be our best win of the year.
